  1. Decided to try to keep everyone happy usual meet and trip to Central. Only person that won't be happy is Mandy as I'm missing the local firework display with the kids.
  2. Glasgow/Strathclyde Meet, The Harvester, Hillington, 7pm.

  4. We could always have a run to Stirling and the meeting there. We really only have to hand out forms, and get an update on where we are with the run, stickers, present, etc. I was planning on going to the Central meet anyway.
  5. Just looked at the calender and realise the next meeting falls on the 5th November, the question is do you want to change it? I know a lot of firework displays are on, so do we keep it as normal, make it later or chnage the date? I know there are a lot of members with kids (me included) so this is really for them. Majority rules so please choose. Keep the same 1. 2. Make it later (say 8.30pm) 1. 2. Change date (possibly the 12th) 1. 2. Don't mind 1. 2.
  6. Hi welcome to the club and forum. There is also Lanarkshire meet mid month. Not much happening run wise due to winter but we currently raising money and organising Santa Cruise. Wee link to last year http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtop...=santa&st=0
  7. I vote for BobbyC organised the Falkirk Wheel meeting, the Total Impreza shoot at Knockhill and was one of the main helpers at Horsepower for Heroes.
  8. Very nice Hutch, of course now you have an STI you won't have to mod it.
  9. Thanks Ally I plan on continuing the meets and runs as before. Any suggestions for other events and runs are more than welcome. Another joint meeting with Central would be good as the last one at Auchenkilns was a great success. Hope to see you all at the next Glasgow/ Strathclyde meet to get the Santa Cruise well underway. Once we sort a date for the run I will get the Donation forms made up. Again thanks to Ally for all his hard work over the years. Robert
  10. Its been a pleasure having you as R.O. and you have always made new members, including me 3 years ago, very welcome. Glasgow/Strathclyde's great reputation and meets are a credit to you and hopefully I can carry this on in my new position. Robert
  11. Was an article I read ages ago, can't remember where but Speedcheck have a good explanation. http://www.speedcheck.co.uk/specs.htm
  12. I went for Defi's from Japan and got a Zero sport pod that included the clock. Drilled a hole and fitted the alarm LED to the pod. Sandwich plate was quick and easy way to fit the oil sensors. Linked the boost sensor in using an aquarium tank tee piece. Edit: retains the clock
  13. The cameras cover their own lane and one either side, the cameras can actually read any lane but this wasn't in the testing they did for the calibration/authorisation to used them. There were reports of people down south battering down the 3rd lane then swerving to the 1st and even hard shoulder to avoid getting caught. Not sure if any re-calibration or testing has been redone, but 2 lanes on the M80 so wouldn't make any difference. Never go fast through there as either going to KH so saving fuel or going to Hypertech to get the car fixed. Agree with Davie, construction is dangerous enough without cars speeding pass.
  14. Found the thread http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=135219 Just used LM grease from Halfords, no knocks or creaks since doing it.
  15. I serviced mine and got rid of the knock, just a case of stripping and re-greasing. My rears started knocking 2 months after I got them replaced. Theses a thread on here I used.
  16. Grade of cars is a big thing, when I was choosing my car I was able to look at all the cars going through the auctions and there were a lot that had problems. I had about 6 White Type R's looked at and every one had something I wouldn't buy it for. Also depended on who does the auction report as some grade 4 were 3's and some 3's were 4's. Unfortunately Stewart Chapman isn't importing anymore or I would say go through him.
  17. Just cause it rained doesn't mean you washed it.
  18. I've heard a lot of SIDC member like to go camping, this explains it.
  19. Would also point out a Jap ecu is not mapped for UK fuel. You'd be better going for an aftermarket ecu such as an Apexi and getting it mapped. Cheaper than damaging your engine with incorrect fuelling.
  20. How many people on here have said that, I'm sure Peter (FAI17) probably said that at one stage and we know how bonker is ride will eventually be .
  21. Sorry to hear this Mark, instead of breaking it would it not be worth getting another STI (paid for by your mate) and swapping the mods, etc. You spent a lot of time and money on it and would be a shame to see it broken up. Surplus parts could be sold to replace damaged mods, remap or labour costs. Just thinking you would probably have an engine , 6 speed, brembos and loads of other bits to sell.
  22. Mirror policy with KM, full business cover on the newage and all mods declared on the Type R £1000.
