  1. Is it ok to clamp braided hoses or is there another option?
  2. Going to refurb my calipers on the Type R at the weekend want to check if there is a bleeding sequence? A previous thread said pass front, drivers rear, drivers front then pass rear.
  3. Sorry thought Leslie was looking for 100pcd should have read her signature at the bottom. Would only have taken me 30mins from work. Actually never tried the front but definitely fits the rear.
  4. My spacesaver fits on and 06 STI (114.3pcd), sounds like someone's put the wrong spacesaver in not knowing about clearing the brembo's. Would lend you mine but wrong pcd.
  5. Saw this in general anyone know the car? http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=145338
  6. The BC's are labelled for each corner and fronts are shorter than rears.
  7. Going to have look at that see what suits best.
  8. We need something a more robust as the car sits on these to stop them blowing over and getting knocked over, would hate to see someone's pride and joy scratched a stand fell, also the holder provides protection for the car sheet.
  9. Yes, it's just and A4 plastic holder and you can get the same on for leaflets.
  10. Ok, been looking at ways of improving the stand for this years shows and been looking at display stand for the car details, prices seem to start at £45 so if we had 20 cars thats £900. Had a go at making one. Bit rough around the edges and could do with being 800mm high instead of a metre but total cost around £17.
  11. I fitted a set on Saturday to the Type R, fairly straight forward. Left the height a little higher than I want to allow for settlement, will check them this weekend. Then will get the car to Hypertech for a geometry (once I service the calipers).
  12. I did this back in June last year and have had no problems. The springs don't damage the shocks it is purely the grease that solidifies and this causes the knock. Late model Blobeyes and Hawkeyes are the same suspension with the 114.3 PCD and 10mm wider track, from what I know you can do it with all KYB's. Discussion and tips. http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=135219
  13. Might be worth a chat with Ian Godney of Godspeed, he gave me good advice for my R as V3's are a nightmare to upgrade. In theory you'd need a fitting kit for the calipers to fit to the backplate and don't know if the discs would be suitable being slightly smaller. As other have said you'd need some serious kit for the front or use a bais control if you can't get something big enough.
  14. Welcome, nice car. Good plate on it, seen a few changed slightly to read WR1, but that would be illegal.
  15. Last indoor meet before we get backout for a run. Ideas for the coming year and what you want from the club will be on the agenda. Harvester, Hillington 7 for 7.30pm in your late we'll be inside. Old and new members always welcome.
  16. Congratulations, good to see the East getting a new RO.
  17. Mentally unhinged will have to change it's name to Warp speed.
  18. You can lead, then there is no change of overtaking the leader. Be good to see the car back.
  19. Had this as my screen saver for a while, very mean looking. Maybe we should bombard subaru with these images so the next one looks like this.
  20. Irish Al has also joined us so now we just need someone for the Edinburgh.
  21. You should have said about the battery I have jump start pack or you could have borrow the battery out my Type R. Once you find out what's wrong remember to post up about it, as you'll get plenty of advice. Hope it's not to bad. Robert
  22. Next engine? Better let Stevie know.
  23. I've used Eaglesham in the past and very good reliable garage but being an approved servicing agent rates are more expensive. It would be worth sending Duncan at Hypertech an email detailing the problems and getting a rough idea of a price for the work. When you bought the car did the guy say anything about the car being mapped (imports don't run properly on uk fuel). What other mods are on the car, decat, induction kit, etc. Also was the turbo a direct swap to match the original or is it different. Sorry for all the questions, more info we have the better we can advise.
  24. Glad to see some of the money going to Yorkhill. Welldone to McRae Vision and the Gathering team.
