  1. Will stick my name down, hope to have the Type R sorted as not posted a time with that. If not I bring the newage and do a couple of runs. Is it worth getting the marque? 1. Braveheart. 2. 2. Was thinking of changing the rear brakes on the Type R from 1 to 2 pots, car has the 290mm solid discs and I will have to change to vented but the question is will the 2 pot caliper fit direct onto the hub or will I need a fitting kit? I know most of you will say upgrade to bigger but spent all my money on discs and pads for the newage and improving the handling on the R. Thanks in advance Robert
  3. Same list I have, we could probably fill in all the blanks using info from all SIDC members.
  4. Can't find a TX code on the Rallispec Ltd -Subaru Gearbox Chart. Codes are 3AA, 3BA, 3CA, 3DA, 3EA, & 3FA. Have the list on Excel if you want a copy.
  5. Especially Mr Forrest. I'd say V3 Type R close ratio and Dccd is loads of fun.
  6. Be wary of ebay cheap brakes, is worth spending a bit extra getting a known make for piece of mind that you will stop. Avoid EBC (grooved and dimpled) discs have warped a set in less than 12 months and a few others have had the same. Have just ordered a full set of discs and pads (Ferodo) for my newage from Godspeed also running their discs on the front of the Type R. 12 month warranty is a bonus as not many companies offer this.
  7. They must know how you drive it.
  8. Has anyone tried these? Looking at discs and pads for the newage. Planned on going with Godspeed but like the look of these. My only issue is I warped the EBC grooved and dimpled on the classic but that was track use. Would love PF's but can justify them for everyday use. Robert
  9. Never had a problem with Flat4online but only standard stuff (strut brace and decat). Hear a couple of people having problems getting engines and parts. Might be worth talking to companies like SW Motorsport, Hypertech or Greers to see where the get them.
  10. Welcome to the 2 Scoobies club, good choice of 2nd car. Any update on the black one?
  11. Just filled up price on the pump was 111.9 but when I filled it was 109.9. Found a place in Glasgow doing BoDiesel for 86p a litre pity I don't have a diesel.
  12. I have a set of BC's for sale. 05-07 STI were supplied and fitted by Hypertech, went back to shocks and prodrive springs as going to be trailering my Type R. http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=136541 Could do a deal on the price.
  13. Unfortunately you have to use the same colour as you have, best price I could find was RCM but price seems to have gone up since, now £430 inc VAT + delivery V3-V4's seem to be the most expensive and hardest to find so £120 is a good price.
  14. My insurance went down £7 only £550, protected no claims, full business cover, PPP and gauges covered. 3rd year with KM. (and I made a claim 18 months ago)
  15. Very nice, bit of a step up from the last one.
  16. Numberplates? N1 WRC has the plate L555BAT in the 1st picture
  17. 1962 Morris Mini Minor, 1300cc with a big carb, metro running gear to increase the track by 6 inches, no interior and a length of 2.5 inch pipe for and exhaust. Beat everything to 60 even turbo's. If only scoobies were that cheap to run and tune.
  18. Have to agree with Neil, newage is a great everyday/motorway car but for for sheer thrill and driving experience a classic is the way.
  19. Not going to make tomorrow, brakes were a bit dodgy last night, don't want to push it on track. Should get things sorted for September.
  20. Will bring them along on Thursday, just checked 6mm.
  21. I have a set of spacers never used, think they are 7 or 8 mm.
  22. That's a bloody good deal 4hrs for £50. On for the SIDC day but can't make the afternoon.
  23. Don't know if theses will fit but my prodrive springs are red.
  24. Me, unless I find problem with my diff, been making a few noises.
  25. Also remember P1's have a habit of going bang at around 50k, could be worth looking at one with a good rebuilt.
