colzo Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 Had the STI up at PB for a couple of days getting a full correction detail. Never kept a car for 3 years before so thought I would treat it to a bit of TLC. Cheers for looking. Colin
scoobysailor Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 Where about are "Polished Bliss" and how much was it for what you had done (if you don't mind me asking)? Your car looks stunning......
braveheart Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 Looking shinny my friend exellent job, I like the detail pics and threads of peoples pride and joy, and if the minority dont like it then they dont read it, simple nothing wrong with a clean shinny car. Regards. Chris.
C_WRX Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 (edited) Aye, no bad Colin, nearly as good as my effort !!!! Been waiting for this thread, bet you were well pleased with their work, shame such a long drive back !! Keep that shine now - no doubt you left with a product or two as well ! RA Dunk Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 looks good i must admit as one of the so called haters i dont mind the pics but canny be bothered with all the other crap that comes with these type of threads like how much buckets they used to wash it with etc etc bloody good job anyhoo ;)
nkwrx Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 Very very nice Colin. me likey Now the paranoia sets in about the weather
jamesm Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 Very very nice. After a Polished Bliss session, it is probably better now than when it was new!
colzo Posted September 11, 2008 Author Posted September 11, 2008 Thanks for all the positive comments so far guys. Aye, no bad Colin, nearly as good as my effort !!!! Been waiting for this thread, bet you were well pleased with their work, shame such a long drive back !! Keep that shine now - no doubt you left with a product or two as well ! One or two things...... foam lance, hyperwash etc, etc. Very very nice Colin. me likey Now the paranoia sets in about the weather Weather? When does the summer start? I have changed from using a Swissvax Carnauba Wax to using Jeffs Werstat Acrylic Sealant. The sealant is far quicker to use (spray on, wipe off) than a wax and gives a wetter look. I'll see over the winter months how well the protection is before I decide if I'll continue using it.
tommo9375 Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 Looks stunning mate,i've been in past for some products a couple of times and was well impressed with their work.

Any expensive day out then - detail and foam lance cost a bit ! Well worth it though given the results. I use Werkstatt Acrylic on all of the cars I work on, other than my own with gets the Blackfire treatment. For your car colour Werkstatt is an excellent choice...but I'm sure pb already told you that ! Edited September 11, 2008 by C_WRX
thefastone Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 Stunning! looking real nice... but how long will it last!!!
marky.t.s Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 looks good on the "before" pics ,when you posting the "after" pics mate?
scouk Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 Stunning! Nice and sharp in the silver! Those guys really know what they are doing! I'd be afraid to drive the damn thing!
stubaroo Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 The car looks amazing. I use Polished Bliss for all my products (always buy via their excellent website) but have never ventured up to their workshop. Would love to get the full correction malarky from them but just could not afford it!
wulsey Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 Looks Superb! The guys at PB make a first class job!
scoobyseller555 Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 the car looked mint last week when you were in,was that before or after the detail? Gav
scooby222 Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 looks stunning mate, better than new.the werkstatt acyrlic is what i use on our motors after getting advice from the pb lads, made dads rs4 in mugello blue so deep, and love the wet slick look it leaves.a trip to thems on my list of things to do as mines got to first mot time too and not going anywhere. the beauty of ahving it like that is even when it does get grotty with the weather its half the effort to clean it.
scoobymark Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 the car looked mint last week when you were in,was that before or after the detail?Gav you are right there gav, bet it was one of the cleanest cars polished bliss have detailed. not be long until you have it in your showroom, come on colin 3 years old now get it traded in, iam sure gav is keen to take your well mint car off you. picts looking good, will need to pop round and see it as it must be cleaner than showroom condition now
Hepy Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 I made the mistake of trying to detail my Golf. Bought a meguiars g220, menzerna polishes, and some swissvax . Spent days doing it, but when the sun hits it you can still see swirls. Reckon I'll sell the stuff and get a pro to do it. The wax smells nice though
Mike M Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 Looking good Colin, was wondering when you were posting this up!! From what I've seen you keep the car very well, was there a lot of correction for PB to do??? Regards Mike
Fonzy Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 Very nice, they do make a good job of it. How much was it if you don't mind me asking? Cheers Allan
