I think the main concern the Police have is the number cars that will be in Lanark on the day St3ph3n . The events organiser for Lawrie & Symington Ltd. (Lanark market) is also trying to help us all regarding parking etc. They were worried as they'd heard that we were going there this weekend which is the tractor show (One of their biggest events) . I'll be liasing with both Lanark Market and the Police to try to help make the day go as smoothly as possible 1/ Ally-b 2/ Richie Cross 3/Mac 4/Squiggle 5/Bogie 6/H4AFY 7/Gus the Bus (hopefully I'll be able to get a half day) 8/Neill54 9/Scooby Princess and Edmondo (if i can get time off) 10/nippySweeties 11/IainC (depending on babysitters and day off work... second part far easier to organise than the first) 12/st3ph3n

Police have contacted me this afternoon asking if I can give them an idea of numbers expected to attend this event from SIDC. The date looks like being Friday 28th September . They couldn't give me times just yet - but I'll keep you all updated as and when I find out . Please add your names below if you'll be attending - ASAP please . 1/ Ally-b

I have posted this info on another thread here , but I thought it best to post it here too. I was contacted today by the events organisers at Lanark market who asked me to inform everyone that this weekend is the tractor show and they are expecting over 7000 visitors to the market. They had heard via Radio Clyde there would be a meet and suggested that it would be better not to meet this weekend as unfortunately it would be too busy because of the Tractor show . She said that we would be more than welcome to use their carpark etc to muster for the Memorial service or indeed any other time to pay our respects as they knew Colin well , and they saw the Club presence on Sunday and would like to help us . As soon as date and times are announced for the Service we will organise SIDC/Scottish Scoobies meet . Grant (Squirrel/Squiggle) is organising a visit for some of our members who are travelling up from England this weekend - This will be fairly low-key . Cars will be assemble at Happendon services and park up and as few cars as possible will take everyone to Lanark so as to cause minimum disruption . Please contact Grant via PM for more details of this (The Squiggle) We will try our best to keep everyone updated with information , as we get it , via the forum . Thanks . Al.

I bought a set of these from Halleys a couple of years ago and I'm sure they were only roughly £20 for the set . I dug out the bag I got them in and the part number appears to be : Centre cap P-FF7 18958 AN 06 04D QTY: 4. Hope thats of some help, Al.

Anyone Had Any Experience Of Fitting An Sti V8 Tmic To A My98?
ally-b replied to mrbadger's topic in Scottish Scoobies
It depends on whether the '98 is a 'face-lift' model or not. Fitting an sti5 'cooler to the earlier ones is a palavar , as Wus points out. But fitting to a 'face-lift' 99/00 model is a straight swap - bit 'o bun HTH , Al. -
What a turnout last night , I think someone mentioned 37 cars Lots of versions of Impreza were represented from classic to hawkeye . It was a nice warm night and there was a lot of chatting going on in the carpark It was good to meet some new members too , as well as the 'regulars' . Did anyone manage to get any pics in the rapidly fading light ? Al.

Good to hear it all went well It should be quite similar to mine now IE quick spool-up and tons of midrange I'm always being asked what d/v I have , because of how it sounds - it is standard re-circ Did you get any BHP/Torque estimates ? Al.

When Andy-F mapped my classic with APS CAI he explained that the bend in the pipework causes the airflow to swirl past the MAF and it only senses approx 20% of the actual airflow . His solution was to re-scale the MAF to give corrected readings to ECU. This may be similar to what you are experiencing and , as suggested , it may be worth removing or replacing the CAI temporarly to see if it helps your problem. Hope that is of some help , Al.

10/10 I was looking at a 1980 T140E last night - very nice . I'll know tomorrow afternoon if I'm buying it . I always regretted selling my 1968 T120 650 bonneville , which I owned for 20 odd years and had to sell when my parents moved house and I had no where to keep it . If I buy this 750 bonneville I hope it serves me as well , and I'll not be selling it ^_^ Al.

Oh , and , I've sold my '92 Triumph Trophy 900 - the '85 GSXR750 took its place . . . . . I know...I know But I've still got my '97 Ducati 750SS for sunny days - its nearly done 5000miles now .......There may be another 'classic' joining the stable very soon - if things work out anyone want to guess what it is ? It is 1980 - previous year it was voted MCN motorcycle of the year - thats your only clue . Al.

Nice Gixxer Playsatan I just fitted mad-mental Mikuni flat-slides to your bikes Grandpa Mine is 22yrs old (don't know what that is in bike-years) one of the first gixxers 1985. Took me to the Bulldog bash and back without a hitch a couple of weeks ago (only a broken bulb and speedo cable ) Frame is made of Ikea chairs , wheels are made of papier-mache , you sit like a greyhound ****ting - but what a machine . Like a time-machine , never mind de'loreans and gigahertz , once I hit 10,000rpm , I'm 19 again Al.

ally-b replied to ally-b's topic in Scottish Scoobies
You'd be in my list mate Along with Greersport , Meercat , Hypertech etc etc + lots of other wee garages and tyre places that folk maybe wouldn't know about , that gave a discount to SIDC members . Al.
