  1. I think I used Mintex 1144's with Godspeed Grooved Discs on my old MY99 and it braked pretty well and it lead a hard, hard life.... [] Cheers, Grant
  2. Aye, Jodi Marsh is a munt IMO... but the Knockhill girls are usually nice. [] I've got the BM on a stand, think its Rev Devils.. but not sure, as I'm pretty sure its a combination of a few sites!! Cheers, Grant
  3. LOL!! Thats probably the weirdest way I've ever heard someone describe a phonecall to Andy F....... [] Go for it mate, I've chatted to Andy before.. he's more than willing to give advice and ideas about the way to reach your own goals. Cheers, Grant
  4. I would think a VF28 would do 300bhp without stressing itself, however, I'm not so sure you'll reach your torque figure... but I could be incorrect, best thing to do would be to give Andy F a call and discuss your goals with him. He's sure to keep you right. [] Cheers, Grant
  5. Take it to a specialist mate... my MY99 did that when I blew my 1st engine in it. Not saying thats what you've done, but sounds very similar to my problem... Covered the whole road and surrounding field in smoke/steam out of my exhaust. [] Cheers, Grant

  7. Haha, I knew I was right!! [] It pays to read a bit more into what someone has said, it should go some way in reducing the chance of giving the wrong type of advice!! lol!! [] To be honest mate, I would be running a JDM on Optimax + Booster in every tank.. I'd be very scared of the thing going bang otherwise!! Do you have a knocklink?? If so, do you see any activity?? What boost are you running at the moment, you say it WAS at 1.35bar.. is it still running that high or have you wound it back?? Cheers, Grant
  8. Cool, thanks mate.... [] Cheers, Grant
  9. Whats the difference between Option 1 and Option 2 headers then mate?? Good to hear it was a worthwhile trip!! [H] Cheers, Grant
  10. Yea, had a great day.. good to have a wee chat with you all. For those who didnt realise who I was, I was the guy that wandered along with my mate at the end.... and narrowly missed out on taking down the Gazebo!! Promise I'll get there a bit earlier next time and help set-up and dismantle the gazebo!! [] Cheers, Grant
  11. Whats a Hayward and Scott 'Front Pipe' then?? Cheers, Grant
  12. No bother Gordy, will let you know once I'm bored of it serving no purpose at all in the Rover... [] Cheers, Grant
  13. Which bit didnt fit?? Cheers, Grant
  14. The NUR Spec R will be back box and centre section... and the 'H&S Front Pipe' will be the de-cat downpipe Peter. [] I wouldn't mind that power from a basically standard car mate, buy a few more mods, buy a Power FC to run it all and then get Andy F to map it for you.. That will see you confortably over 300bhp with a big increase in torque mate. [H] Cheers, Grant
  15. Thanks for the comments guys.. makes all the hard work worthwhile. [] I'm thinking about taking it to shows this summer, what you guys reckon... it'd surely sail into the Fast and Modified Top 100?? LOL!! [] Cheers, Grant
  16. Well, here it is... brought to you by DIY Motorsport @ The Driveway, Fife. [H] Couple of pics to remind you what car was being worked on, I'll do a full feature sometime in the future... Haha!! [] Thats right, its the 'Bailey Bus' AKA 'The Viking...' and now for the main event.. I know you're all dying to see how I've transformed it, so wait no longer.... Here it is, I'm confident that its a World First in the modifying scene. LOL!! Thats right, its a sponge mounted Air/Fuel Gauge.... Oh yea!!! [H] Found the gauge lying around doing nothing and since I was a bit bored, I decided to fit it to the car I use to transport my dog to and from the beach/vet/hills.. only problem was, I didnt like how it was sitting without a proper mount, so I butchered an old sponge and now it fits like a glove. Haha, it works surprisingly well, the car runs slightly rich all the way through the rev range. Just like a proper sports car should!! [][] Whats your thoughts?? Cheers, Grant
  17. Adidas Goodyears... However, I've been known to roll in socks on the 1/4 mile. lol... [H] Cheers, Grant

  24. Haha, no flames when I saw you, but sounded VERY nice!! [H] I was in a 5-Series BM waiting to pull an illegal U-Turn at the junction just up from the BP garage. LOL! [] Cheers, Grant
  25. Today, about 5-ish... Giving it yee-haa on the Dual Carriageway between BP Garage and Tay Bridge (Fife-Side). Cheers, Grant
