Alright, I'm lookin for a bit of advice.... I want to concentrate on the handling on my new Scoob before I work away on the BHP increases. So, I'm looking to buy some Whiteline gear. [] What I'm trying to find out is, which parts would give the biggest improvement in the twisties... Sort of a list, from biggest improvement down to least improvement, with an average cost for each item too if possible. You can look at the catalogue over and over, but I think it would be good to hear about some personal experiences from you guys. Cheers, Grant

Thanks a lot for the replies guys, its my 3rd Scoob, always fancied a facelifted classic in white so when this one appeared with 45k miles, FSSH, PPP and standard down to the stock Rad/Cassette, I thought it'd be rude not to have a wee look at it.... I'm really happy just now, already started to buy parts to improve its performance/appearance?! Its true, once the bug bites, there's no looking back. ...as of Saturday @ c3pm, I returned to the Flat 4 Fold!! [] I've bought a MY99 PPP 4dr, in White. Completely standard throughout, in immaculate condition, great base for a few well chosen mods. Car was based South of Bristol, but it was a good enough deal to tempt me into making the c1000mile round trip to buy it!! Will try and upload pics once my mate sends them over to me. Weather was mixed.. middle of the day was very wet, but beginning and end were dry and track was dry.. Honestly couldnt believe how quiet it was?! I think that a lot of cars went home when it started to pelt down around lunchtime....... after the downpour, you really could do a run, then drive round the return road slowly and get another run pretty much immediately!? Had a good time, was the quietest I think that I've ever seen it?! Going round constantly, with maybe a maximum wait of 1 min...... [] Raced a guy with a Carbon Bonnet a few times... he beat me!! But he's got a few more mods than I do, thats my excuse anyway. He had an SIDC sticker on his car. There was a silver MY98 with front mount that was blasting up the strip, running low 12's all day long, stayed as far away from him as I could!! LOL!! [] Cheers, Grant

Guy I know went for an EcuTek Re-Map from Andy F in his 2002 Bugly STi and had a Launch Control Level dialled in..... was shaaaaat, revs dropped too much, so it was hit or miss whether or not he bogged at line. However, he made very very good power and the car has done him proud at Crail too.. so the map itself cant be faulted. [H] Wouldnt bother with GEMS to be honest, over indulgance for anything less than very highly modified cars and even then.. I'd probably go for a MoTec instead. [] Cheers, Grant
