Passed when I was 17 in 2000, passed 1 month after my birthday with 6 lessons. So thats... almost 6 years. [] Cheers, Grant

I'm about 150quid ahead of you JC... Seen plates incorrectly spaced, with some sh@tty italic font, etc around in the area on "normal" cars without them being pulled over and asked to remove them. Tayside 5/0... Jobsworth Arseholes, IMO. Cheers, Grant

Haha, thats awesome!! [] Good to see 'just a wee WRX' hitting impressive figures like that... Good'on'ya Higgy!! [H] Cheers, Grant
-
If you're heading up the A90 Dundee -> Aberdeen then there are plenty of those scameras around... as well as the odd hidden traffic car using VASCAR stuff, which I know for a fact, a Road Angel doesnt pick up!! [] Cheers, Grant

What is this cr4p all over my engine!!!!?
RS Grant replied to thewelsho's topic in Scottish Scoobies
I'd guess its some sort of protective coating they put over the engine when new?! I hope its nothing more sinister than that anyway!! Cheers, Grant -

Will be good to see what sort of figures it produces, but as long as you're happy with the performance on the road then thats the main thing Simon.... I cant wait to see it at the next Fife Meet, can I join the end of the (growing) queue for a passenger blast in it mate?? [] 'moan the Fife Scoobs!! [] Cheers, Grant -
Yea, thats the boy... running a full de-cat Blitz NUR Spec R exhaust, I had forgotten how good it sounded after selling my Blue Wagon a while ago........ [H] Keep an eye on the Events Section at the top of the forum there, when a Dundee/Fife meet pops up.. get yourself along for some banter and to put faces to the names on here. [] Cheers, Grant

Congrats... [] Cheers, Grant

Aye, all the luck in the world mate.. I know what its like to be without a licence!! What time was the test?? Cheers, Grant
-
Sounds like a reasonable price for uprated pads in the Brembos.. [] Cheers, Grant
-
I'm in Dundee area, without a Scoob though.. My friend lives in your area, drives a Black MY95 WRX Wagon. [H] Cheers, Grant

Doesnt look that way by reading the reply on SNet... Cheers, Grant

Really sorry to hear this mate... [] Thoughts are with you and your family. Cheers, Grant

Steer clear of them... a friend bought a BMW 325 Coupe from them, nothing but problems, even after they took it back and supposedly fitted a new short motor & cooling system!! [] He was tied into a finance deal with them, so got a MY95 WRX Wagon instead.. Blitz Exhaust, Tein Suspension, Lightweight 16" Wheels and a couple of other wee bits...... *touch wood* its been fine so far, dont think they knew the value of the parts fitted because he got it for a bargain price. I wouldnt choose to buy from them though, they had a nice Evo 6 in when I went to look at the Scoob with my mate, low miles, immaculate interior.......... but the guy freely admitted taking it out and tanning the arse off it. I'd put a lot of money on the fact that he didnt warm up/cool down properly and probably ran on standard 95 ron pump fuel. Cheers, Grant

Sorry mate, its true.. back in the homeland now. When you're back in Edinburgh, give me a shout, we can meet up for a beer. [][] Cheers, Grant

1. Paddy247 - Scoob 2. RS Grant - No Scoob Cheers, Grant

The car I think you mean has had a bit of money thrown at it.. IIRC its had an engine rebuild with Cosworth Pistons, uprated rods etc.... Looks like a reasonable car from the pics, and the seller seems to be a very honest and decent kind of guy. [] Cheers, Grant

Best Modified Car was P1GGM (Gordon) on here mate.. [] Cheers, Grant
-
I provoked it by fitting P-Zeros (poor in wet) to the rear and Eagle F1s (good in wet) to the front.... [] Cheers, Grant
-
That price is bloody ridiculous...... [] Will people like Grade-A not be able to hook you up?? If thats a one-piece front door part then would doubt that its interchangeable from the 4/5dr models.. I think I'm right in saying that the Coupes have bigger doors/door frames than the rest of the range. Would think that the P1 would be the same though, might be worth a call to a sympathetic dealer with SIDC connections for a price?? [] Cheers, Grant

Mondeos are decent enough cars... fond memories of lift-off oversteer in my old Mk2 '00 Zetec. Haha!! [] Cheers, Grant

You shouldnt worry about the ECU differences between 99-00 models mate.. they all re-map the same. [] Imported Imprezas tend to come with Japanese History which means little or nothing to people who cannot speak Japanese, best thing to look for with an Import is the Auction Sheet, clean cars should be Grade 4 or 4.5 when they were imported. There should be NO reason for the guy not having this, its an extremely important bit of info for UK buyers and would raise my suspicions if the person 'never got it when they bought the car' or 'lost it/thrown it away'. It wouldnt happen to be a White Version 5 STi Wagon that you are looking at down south would it?? Cheers, Grant
-
Should only cost a few quid.... but I wouldnt be surprised to hear £40 or, more?! Cheers, Grant

Looks good mate.. defo agree that black FMIC is the way forward, keeps things very 'street sleeper' looking. Of course, I'm sure all that subtlety will go to fook when you start the bassa up with the new exhaust!! [] Cheers, Grant -
You need to go and have a look at all the cars mate... This is just an example, I'm not saying that this is what has happened. But, the 28k miler might have spent all its years on track/back roads having the crap kicked out of it...... the 65k miler might have led a very simple and unabused life in the hands of an old woman.. but that isnt reeeeeeeeeeeally the best thing IMO. Have a look, drive and poke around the cars you are looking at.. buy on condition/history rather than mileage. There are no differences between a MY99 and MY00 (apart from the ECU) that I'm aware of. I know what 28k mile car you are talking about, and its got a LOT of expensive options list extras fitted to it. Prodrive Performance Pack, Prodrive Quickshift, Prodrive Handling Pack, PIAA Driving Lights and a Full Subaru History... I dont think its too expensive to be honest, might be room for some haggling, but I wouldnt expect you to get it for 5500 or anything. Cheers, Grant
