  1. yeah, was the problem I had. Would be quite cool (as in easy for me) if you did the gfx on a new blank layer on your pic, so you could send a copy of the gfx as a clear layer to be overlaid on any coloured scoob side on when you do finish
  2. Have you done a full mock up of all the gfx? Looks pretty tidy IMO but still a bit bare in that pic above. Had actually been half wondering about the Monster scheme myself (Crystal Grey STi) after seeing the Mtn Lab scoob and snowboarders Could never find a decent pic of the car to see what all gfx were on it though.
  3. Both my kids have loved the scoobs. Had my first daughter asleep in my arms when I went in to get some new brakes for the other car we had at the time, she stayed asleep the whole way thru' the shop and only woke up when we came outside again and she heard Jools appearing in the car park with someone elses P1 She woke straight up then... trained them well
  4. I agree with JohnS, we had a 94 wagon with a decat exhaust and my daughter loved it. She went straight to sleep in it. There was plenty of space in the boot for the usual crap. Only got shot of the first scoob 'cos I was doing a lot of miles, bought a 06 STi after we'd had the 2nd kid and there is plenty of room in it for everything as well. We had a fairly large three wheeler buggy (large wheeled thing) and you could fit that plus the travel cot, plus the bags for the rest of us for a weekend/week away. The only thing that might go against the scoob during the first couple of baby years is the amount of money you'll be spending on the car (fuel, mods, etc) that you may need to be spending on the kid instead. Our other "family" car is a Leon so again it's not a huge motor and it's fine as well. I did have an S6 Avant for a short while before the latest scoob but for the back roads I use most of the time it was useless, nice gutsy V8 engine but didn't handle that well. HUUUUUUGGGGGEEEE boot on it, but we rarely needed anything that size so it was empty most of the time.
  5. What about going for a set of RE070s? Almost a semi slick type tyre and some people don't get on with them hence you sometimes get a good deal on them 2nd hand?
  6. I honestly can't believe that it didn't sell at the lower price you'd dropped it to, also can't believe someone offered such a low price for a car with the spec yours has.
  7. It's T1Rs that are on the 19's I have fitted to my car and they seem okay tyres, as someone else mentioned I don't think that they are as good as S02s or even S03s but they are an okay all weather tyre.
  8. I reckon that most of the cars I've had have all ran about 90 degrees when at operating temp. Can't think why yours would be running higher? Not sure if the extra 10 degrees would make a huge difference or not? Guess someone with a more mechanical background will be able to advise you better on that.
  9. Not been up past there in ages... didn't realised it was knocked down... bit of a shame as I really liked using them and could trust that they'd look after the car.
  10. I always used Reekies in Forres (John Grey and Sons), Jimmy there always looked after the 94 Turbo I had. They used to be a Subaru dealer in the past and its the same guys that were there last time I used them. Iain.
  11. Go for it... would be interested myself
  12. TBH, when I do it this time round I'll be looking at a sports cat as well, CBA having to swap exhausts over for MOT's and would prefer not to get caught out at a roadside test either. Had the full decat on the old 94 Turbo but as it's meant to only decrease the bhp by a few it hardly seems worth not having a sports cat on (other than price obviously). Iain.
  13. As mentioned by others I always replace in pairs (unless its recently been changed anyway) and always try to stick to the same brand on all four. Have heard the change all 4 at once, but I'm sure that the diffs can easily deal with a tyre being a few mm different to the others, as your outer wheels travel a much further distance every time you turn a corner and they manage to deal with that okay. Only thing to watch out for is if you put 2 decent tyres on and the other 2 on the car are crap, had that on an older car and I had the back end out at every roundabout (which was a bit of a shock the first time it happened... and fun after that )
  14. Can't say I've heard anything about the "new stuff" but the roads have been a lot slippier than usual IMO, even the wifes car (which is fitted with proper winter tyres) has been slipping about a bit.
  15. Know exactly what you mean... lost count of the number of cars that flash you if you dare to overtake them out in the sticks, only to be right up yer *rse thru' the next village 'cos you are observing the limit and they're still going at 55mph. I try not to let it bother me now and just let them get on with it and hopefully not involve me in their accident.
  16. Then a couple of weeks after that it gets sold and you start with which model scoob next? The Justy?
  17. So is yours a full 3" system from the downpipe back, or does it narrow down to the 2.5" to mate with the downpipe? Any chance of letting us know (or just me by pm if you want?) 'cos it's sounding very much like what I need to get done myself... getting a bit fed up with the silence
  18. That's cool... where do I sign up
  19. If it's a real L plate (ie not just a private plate) then I don't think you'd have any issues with an induction kit (I didn't on mine) as long as it's cleaned properly and not too wet when it goes back on. I liked/prefered the sound of the IK on my wagon to the std airbox.
  20. My dad used to have an old Talbot Sunbeam which had washers and wipers on the lights, leccy windows, central locking and all that stuff back in the 70's when it was made... still all worked as well when he had it I think that the high pressure jets work okay, although IMO the ones on the classic are probably better in one way, due to them being permenantly on show. No moving parts to go wrong. Had an Audi S6 and the washers went a bit funny at times, one would sit up and the other one fully recessed. Push down on the one that was up and you raised the one that was down
  21. I've not yet but then it's only been on the car a couple of months at most. Will try and remember and check it over closely next time the car gets washed (which doesn't happen often )
  22. Yup, had them on the 94 wagon as well, although like John said they just made the dirt wet as opposed to actually keeping the lights clean
