Front suspension took us one evening to remove and took Adam a couple of hours to replace Rear beam.....maybe a night to take off and a night to put back on (depending on how rusty the one you have on is! The locking nuts can be a right bugger!)

Email from Willie @ Crail SATURDAY 24th JUNE For the first time an open to the public track day from 10.00 AM till 2.30 PM .We are taking pre bookings for this so that we can minimise numbers on the track for maximum track time so prebooking and payment is essential so not to disappoint. We will be doing different sessions for those wanting to drift round the large track and for those wanting to tear round the track. Then at 4PM its DRAG TILL DARK drivers who do the track day get free access to the evening session and discount for the drag strip,spectators are free to the track session,but normal fee of £7.00 to the evening Drag till Dark. Get in touch ASAP regards booking this.If we dont fill the session then it will be on a 1st come 1st served basis on the day. It did look pretty horrific....I was just approaching the hairpin as you were coming out and there were flames up the side....didnt see it go round the hairpin, but there were apparently flames up as you went round the corner I think I would seriously shit myself if that happened to my car

LOL.... there's one part of the track that dips....you can hear the rear tyre rubbing every time! I was trying to get adam to take it a bit easier on that bit cos I kept getting clouds of smoke round me from it! [*-)]

Thats true when we were running "without assistance" you certainly had the edge. We have a few suspicions as to why that is which we will sort for the next one [] (fingers crossed) We defo need to sort the suspension though !! What are the plans then? I think with a bit of suspension mods it'll be quicker round the corners than ours.... Think we'll be opting for a 1.6 box soon as our clutch is not the best LOL, needs something sorted on the front psgr side (new hub, or lower arm).... and possibly new brake pads after the next one. Running fast road pads up front on std discs, and uprated pads and discs on the back.... with the bias a wee bit too much on the rear i think

Its a bog standard 113k mile 1.9 GTi seemed to have the stright line edge over scoobylav and big daz's 1.9.... only reason i think is we have more miles, so its all nice and loose We're both still fairly amatuer though... thats my 4th or 5th time round knockhill but first time in the dry with no car problems!!!! Fee's been round in her impreza, my corsa and now the pug. This is the first time she got any sort of rythem going out on track. Its a pain the arse when a car isnt working and you need to come in and out of the pits. I did hear the golf misfiring at some point during the day, hope you get it sorted soon.

Ace pics ross.... no idea the pug was soooo bright The pug highlights ghow much fun it can be on a budget LOL My track car is in th eregion of 20k now... (2 shells, 3 engines, lots of expensive bits) AND NEVER WORKS the pug is an ebay special, put together with bits n bobs by ourselves... AND WORKS Worked it out to be around 6% of the cost !!!!!!

And then my car with all its squint stickers!!! LOL

Is it under warranty? Did they accept that they were responsible for fixing it?
