  1. You can pop round mine anytime if you like too Ken.
  2. Jamie you just know you've got to buy that! Get it for a good price and get it repaired and you'll be onto a winner mate. Funny how it's described as a V3 in the advert....
  3. I went for a Knocklink, Lambdalink and Defi Oil/Fuel/Boost pressure gauges first time around. This time i've added an air inlet temperature gauge but have binned the Lambdalink. Fuel pressure monitoring isn't too important if you're running an OE system but mine is a little experimental so i want to keep an eye on it. Here's what my dash currently looks like with the traditional Defi 3-gauge setup. In your case i'd recommend a Knocklink along with Defi Boost/Oil pressue and Oil temperature. The hand commander with the Apexi PFC is good but doesn't tell you anything about your oil. Russ (WUZ on here) does a nice sideline in custom-fitting the Knocklinks (remote mounted LED's) and the Defi gauges can be bought for a reasonable cost from eBay vendors. I think my current set of three gauges and control unit cost less than £300 new. You're close to me in Turriff by the way. My mate Callum stays up your way - used to have a red Evo 7 but now has a girly Fiesta. []

  5. 24 years old, 7 years NCB, 3 points for an SP30 in 2003, stay in Aberdeenshire and work offshore. Paid £1200 this year to insure my STi RA fully comprehensive and my Cavalier Turbo 4x4 TPFT.
  6. They look more like Superturismos than Superleggeras to me. You sure the seller doesn't mean anthracite Superleggeras? They look like this...
  7. Grant, i'd personally aim a little higher than Aramark. They take care of the accomodation services offshore (catering, cleaning , laundry etc) but if i were you i'd try get into the drilling or well services side of things. PSL and Weatherford are two well services companies i know who have recruited a couple of my mates without experience. Your best bet of a production job is with somebody like Brown & Root or Petrofac. That's only the tip fo the iceberg however, have a look on www.oilcareers.com to see if anything takes your fancy.
  8. Nice one Ross, seen the pictures of the car in the other thread on here and the silver machine is looking well. [H] Be good to see what figures it makes with the front mount.
  9. Shaun, i'd recommend the Fuel Boost link above. Like it so much i stuck my name on it. []
  10. Haven't had a proper photo session yet but took this before it went into the garage for minor heart surgery.
  11. Saw this on Type-RA.co.uk but didn't click it was you Imy. Nice one. [H] Good to see another decent RA up in Scotland - we'll have captured them all soon! []
  12. SX, Aeromotive, Fuelabs are all good.
  13. You'll get a decent deal from my mate Callum. http://www.fuelboost.co.uk
  14. You need a screw extractor set for allen bolts. They're left hand threaded so the more you screw them into the bolts the tighter they grip and because they're left had thread they wind the bolt out as you're tightening them up. http://www.justoffbase.co.uk/s.nl/sc.9/cat...t.A/id.16256/.f
  15. There's a couple of us in ABZ who use the forum and are into mods. There's Russ in Aberdeen who has a 400+ bhp STi 6 RA not to mention Jools in Inverurie with a god-knows-how-powerful MY02 STi Bugeye. Plenty of other well modified cars in the area too. I'm in Turriff myself and am busy getting used to my new STi 4 RA after selling my MY98 UK last June.
  16. Yeah Gary sorted me out for the STi RA as well as the animal Cav Turbo! I'm 24 and not paying a great deal over 1k for them both. [H]
  17. Maybe you smell? [] [] I haven't even left a message (just my number in his missed calls list) and he's rang me back. I'd just keep on trying until he answers. He even has a secretary to help answering the phone now too!
  18. Yup decent price Kev. I got my reconed 4-pots from Brakes International for not a lot more than that but i didn't exchange my originals. They're becoming a bit more widely available now as they've been OEM since 1999.
  19. Peter, must say i'm disappointed. Got home this morning and no new engine?! [:'(] []
  20. Do people not use the telephone these days? Gav has always responded to my voicemail. 01224 708444 / 07803 183837
  21. It's my favourite colour too Doug. [] Shaun, it's already been christened as The Fridge V2! Pleased to hear yours is still going well after so long. [H] I've a freshly painted manifold ready to go on Grant, the test will be how long the paint stays on that one lol! Thanks all, i feel at home again now. []
  22. The offshore rota means the ABZ meets are awkward right now Cal. It shuffles round towards the end of the year though so will hopefully make an appearance before too long. [] I'm back on the 15th Russ, you away again before then?
  23. Lol Scott. [] I was as surprised as you are Kenny. I personally thought the V4 Coupe was the first (IIRC GrantyBoy on here has them on his) but they must've fitted them to the STi RA's of that year also? It made for a pleasant surprise all the same. [] As much fun as the snow is i'd really rather it was dry as the car handles so much better than my old UK that i'd rather be experiencing that right now. Anyway, it's tucked up in the garage for the next fortnight as i have to go do the job that pays for such extravagances. [H]
  24. I'll just leave you one job if you're paying. Wouldn't want to take the piss. [] 1. Supply & fit a Stage 6 Axis Motor I'm back on the 15th of March. Thank you Peter. []
