  1. Yes apologies for the lack of publicity. It's my work's fault for keeping me just far too busy and lots of overseas trips The event is going ahead as planned on Sunday the 13th of July. 10am to 4pm, though we hope the gates will be open at around 9:30am. Free entry, though we will be collecting donations on the gate for Santa Cruise - please give generously. As well as the usual show and shine competition, we'll have the sprint track in use all day. Sign up and drive your own car on the track (one at a time), and get a rare chance to push your car to it's limits and see how you compare with others. It's a great day out for the family. We will need some assistance on the Saturday afternoon for about an hour (say around 2:30pm) to set up the safety fencing, and also at the end of the event to take it all down again. I'm also looking for a few marshalls to help out on the day, the more we have in the "pool", the less time each needs to spend at their post. I'm hoping with 5 to 10 volunteers, that everyone will do one (maybe 2) stints of about an hour or so. One of the marshalls will be responsible for timing the cars with a stopwatch as well. Anyone volunteering to be a marshall will get their car on track for free - doesn't get much better than that. As long as we don't get 30 volunteers we are sorted If anyone wants to help out in any way, just let me know on this thread. John
  2. Sorry for the late reply - I've been away overseas with work (and also to Wales!), had my mobile stolen, and lots of other stuff going on, so not had time to get on-line very much. Everything should all be sorted now (check your PMs) Cheers John
  3. I can't make it tonight. Just back from Trinidad and have a huge backlog of stuff that needs sorting, some of it quite urgently

John
  7. Great shots everyone - well done! I've not even had time to download mine from the camera yet, as I didn't get home until after 8pm and promptly fell asleep! Arthur (Mr Toad) has an excellent flame-age shot from the Skyline as well! Hoping to see some of you again this afternoon, as I can't make it down for the practice rounds. John
  8. My number is printed in True Grip
  9. No problems, might be a day or two before I can reply as I fly home tomorrow and won't get home until Tuesday afternoon.
  10. Not at all After all, you did build the current car in about a week from a pretty much bare shell so anything is possible.
  11. Nice - good to see you back in a car with a flat 4 rumble again
  12. Good to hear she went out on a hight note So when's the first event for the new car ?
  13. I don't have a garage, but I do have a space on my driveway that you are free to use. I live about 3 miles from Fintray. John
  14. Ouch, sorry to see a fine car going to the car maker in the sky. Glad to hear you are OK though.
  15. Is it for the Skyline ? I know a few people with trailers for seven/westfield type cars, but none for a bigger car. I'd suggest trying the scottish-sprinting.co.uk/flatchat forum as some of the hillclimb guys in the area might have something suitable, or know someone that does. John
  16. Quality work as always
  17. Superb photos - looks like the lighting was about perfect for action photography at Knockhill for once
