  1. Done the same with mine - mind numbing but worth it!! Brian []
  2. Mega Martin!!!!!!! At last []
  3. I try around the £4,000 mark as its a Catalunya. Pictures will help - and clean it to help sell it too [] Brian []
  4. That's terrible news Alan. Hope you get a good payout. Stevie will be gutted - it was the best wagon on here! Brian []
  5. Hello []
  6. Realistic prices are £8k trade-in at best and private sale £10k tops due to condition. You could price it higher but may need to wait a while - not something you really want to do with cars as they never reap the investment. Good luck if you do sell - there will be a buyer out there who will appreciate the condition and care. Brian []
  7. Great Photo's - was working tonight or would have come along to this. Brian []
  8. Horrible. Hope you get better soon and they catch them. Brian []
  9. I'd imagine it could be done COlin. No idea where thouh and may need to be anchored to the floor behind the rear seats, and use some boot room? Brian []
  10. Bear in mind you could pick up an old wrx starting from £2k...
  11. Don't know - CO was miles out... Passed with a bit of tweaking though [] Running fine though [] Brian.
  12. Also, take into account the other thread about the legislation process - radar and laser detectors have been on the cards to banned for quite a while and next years seems the date. I binned my laser & radar attachments for my Origin B2 years ago as they really won't save you IMHO. The fixed camera database is the most useful to me - stops me being fined & issued with points needlessly - keeps me on the ball. The government support these devices and your local police authority publish ever day on their website the locations of mobile speed camera's so they are no secret - most people know the danger areas in their own authority anyway. Aware and alert is what is needed. See them for what they are - cash generators and a deterrant. Brian []
  13. I'd check the obvious stuff like Coil Packs for cracks, sensors etc. Getting the car to somewhere like AWD with a Subaru Select monitor can check it for faults. Brian []
  14. Indeed - onwards to the Fellowship of the SIDC Ring! B.
  15. I think he'll be going to see the Movie - which is released today [] Brian.
  16. I needed two bottles of Motul 5.1...not sure of size. I think they are 500ml each.
  17. Lol @ Del. I agree - no one really cares as long as the club is supported and people go to and enjoy the meets. Brian []
  18. They are great - give them a call - don't be surprised if you've got them tomorrow. Brian.
  19. Welcome to SIDC []
  20. I assume these are brake lines you need? I got mine for this car and the last from AS Performance 0191 410 3770. I bought them wih other goods the last times, the latest set as part of a group buy with a coloured sleeve. Some places charge up to £75 for them. I think they were around £45 from ASP. Brian.
  21. Hey Padro It needed an exhaust change for the MOT and the geometry was due - the steering feels a bit weightier now and with the new Whitelne ARB and drop links, wheels/tyres and brake set-up it was useful I think. Vibration is gone too. And quieter suspension. It's running as good as ever - even after not moving for 6 weeks! Brian []
  22. Phone AS Performance - most people on here swear by them - prices and advice spot on. Phone Alyn (Stockton) on 01914103770. You probably want Ferrodo DS2500 or, like mine, Pagid RS 4.2.1. Worth every penny. Brian.
  23. Big thanks to John an the team at Extreme Motorsport/Swifts in Whitburn for their work on the Impreza today. Good service as always. Serviced (Millers 10/40 & a new fuel filter), M.O.T.'d with no drama and a full Pro-Align geometry check and Fast Road set-up. Feels good to know its good for the road! Any one need any Impreza specific work in the Lothians area - just off junction 4 of the M8, with a Dastek rolling road too. Brian []
  24. Looks a good 'un dave. Mega brake set-up too! Brian []
  25. Welcome. Good luck in the engine swap although finding a Version 1 STI engine may be a challenge. They only built 100 then 200 numbered cars, with a handbuilt engine. I'd imagine that an early WRX engine would do the same job and be much easier to get a hold of? Brian.
