  1. Fancied a 350Z myself a few times...just the rear wheel drive, snow and my mountainous street put an end to that idea. Oh and 2 seats! Lovely car - they look great with monster wheels etc Brian
  2. Congratulations - you'll love it. Brian
  3. Mine seems to be at okay, texting backwards and forwards. Brian.
  4. Me included!
  5. Looks mega. What did you get done at your detail in December? Brian
  6. Both excellent quality and pricing Also both welcome SIDC members - say I sent you to C&C and you may get a discount too Brian.
  7. STI has different suspension, brakes, seats, body parts, gearbox, mapping, exhaust, etc and are all generally upgrades from the WRX. Both are excellent cars and, speaking as someone who had an 03 WRX for 3 years, great cars. Fuel economy and general "live-ability" is better with a WRX but you'll end up upgrading some bits and bobs (everyone does) and some of them may be STI type things. The RB320 is the best of the lot and would be well worth the stretch (and hold it's value best) BUT the STI or GB270 probably offers the best value for money at present. Brian.
  8. Welcome along. Just picked up my third Impreza Brian.
  9. Where are you based?
  10. Welcome along. Brian
  11. Welcome along mate For servicing there are several very good tuners around the country who can do the work for you if you want to avoid main dealer (Hypertech Bonnybridge or Extreme Motorsport in Whitburn), or Ian Grieve Subaru in Falkirk are very good. As for info on the car, look at the top of the page and click "SCOOBYPEDIA" - a brilliant resource for info. Brian
  12. Quite a bit available for the car at many tuners - it's not vastly different mechanically to previous Impreza's so much of what could be done before can still be done. Springs etc are available for the STI (Tein etc making parts so plenty for the car) and the usual range of accessories available on the Subaru site. Brian.
  13. Welcome along
  14. Hi, Not sure what they're worth without tyres & with a few small marks on them. What were you thinking? Brian.
  15. If they're up for sale and no tyres - that's fine - price dependant
  16. Cheers - how's your's settling in? New wheels yet? Brian
  17. Lol - how true. Already ordered my red light overlays from Iain Litchfield, as well as bootliner & bumper protector & STI mats from Subaru so far... Bought decent cleaning products for it and a new tool chest which is a bargain in Halfords just now (got a few good bargains in their sale...). This one is a good buy (products are pretty crap but it's a bargain): http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...egoryId_165671 So hard not to spend money with sales on car stuff. Even managed a Magnetic WRC Tax Disc Holder for 50p Brian
  18. Cheers all. It looks much better in the flesh and red really shows off the lines. Everyone thinks it looks bigger than they though it would be and there is more rear legroom in it than in the Lexus and a higher roof inside. Stereo much better than previous Subaru crap! All seems quite solid. Mentioned to Iain Litchfield today about the car being red - he said "you'll really enjoy the car and there are only a handful of red ones in the U.K.". Nice to know. It will be tastefully "tweaked" as and when my overdraft's flames die down! Next pics I post up will be a) Better when camera arrives and the car will be filthy! Brian.
  19. I made the jump from a 2003 WRX, which I had for 3 years, to an STI Version 1 (no.21). I enjoyed the switch, it was rawer and different but not any more or less enjoyable the WRX. Now moved onto a new STI Hatch, which hopefully will be the best of both - and much easier to use as an every day car but still stupid quick! You can only really regret something you never do - everything else only has the potential to be a fixable mistake. Go for it. Brian
  20. Some terrible pictures taken on the iPhone today/night...and it is now completely filthy and it's freezing outside! Ignore the cream mats - they are a set of Lexus ones I had in the garage - STI ones not here yet... Brian.
  21. This one is good too: Brian.
  22. I should actually add my car is down my street to the end and in my snow buried driveway for the first time in 3 weeks! :-)
  23. Thanks again Gav. There was only one place for me to buy my car, even as a previous happy customer of Nobles (I'll not mention Drive!!!). See you in a couple of days when my engine blows up! And I won't be modding my car - if Subaru wanted it modified they would have lol (statement here in place as a wife "it's fine the way it is" disclaimer :-)) Brian.
