  1. Why do you say that? I love my V8 Disco loads of grunt and no issues with the bad weather out my way so I'm really happy with mine. Mind you, I do only put 2000 miles a year on the Disco! ACE is a great peice of kit on that Disco, handles really well for a big 4X4. Russell
  2. Really - striaght fit onto a MY98 Inlet with the ISCV in the way! OK - I'll pass that info on then. Russell
  3. Fitting the Defi's is 65 of the total price - not bad for your behind to be covered if something goes wrong (hasn't done i the past 12 installations but its your car and I'll want to keep in the same comndition it arrived in!), you want to damage/break something doing it yourself for the cost of 65? Russell (based in Inverurie, outside Aberdeen)
  4. Take the cap off the reservoir and see if the return line from the turbo has water running through it when the engine is on. I fno tthen the water pump needs replaced. Russell
  5. Yes m8 - The price includes a GENUINE Defi pod and Control Unit II (more functions than CU I which the Genomes come with). Takes 3 hours start to finish.
  6. Defi BF's supplied, fitted and set up for 615 Russell
  7. Done 3 so far and they aren't as bad as you might think, it just takes time! Russell
  8. Did their job right.........I should think so as , according to the OP, it was on the rollers for over 14 hours, fine tuning it. I did drive it before the 20G was fitted and it was fun to drive. Dave, ask the to compare Air flow readings (MAF from your old maps on the VF and the 20G to see if there has been a comparable increase in air flow to comfirm the turbo is throwing in loads of air. Also ask them to use a BRAND new W/B Lambda sensor to confirm the mapped readings are correct and not an iffy sensor creating an issue (more straw clutching!) Russell
  9. Not even remotely similar m8, this car has Variable Valve Timing (AVCS) for a start! Russell ps - Nobody wants to name the mapper for their own reasons, especialy me so we'll see if there are any issues that can be raised from the mappers opinions but my honest opinion would be to let Andy, Pat or Bob look at the datalogs and maps and see what they think!
  10. H&S Slip-jointed Uppipe. OE Inlet so collapsing isn't going to be an issue. Russell
  11. I am (0600 here and the little one is wide awake) but I thought it would be rude of me not to reply! Ask the mapper to remove the CAI for one run on the dyno to see if that is a restriction Alan - agree with you on restriction isues but this is a decent system with no visible ID reductions and very litlle bends. Russell
  12. Ali37's car has produced over 350bhp and 338 torq on the VF34 and with 2.5" exhaust AFAIK ( the AVCS helped! ). The AVCS on your car should allow for better spoolup as well as better top end. If the 20G is producing the bost hten what is the airflow readings at 4k-8k on grams per seond? readouts will reconfirm the turbo is OK? Andy doesnt do dodgy 2nd-rate rebuilds so I can say for sure that there is not an issue with the turbo. Russell
  13. and it faces a different direction as well as a different angle. Russell

  17. Craig - I'll b donating a prize to the fund, I'm just not home to sort it out! FREE OIL SERVICE VOUCHER? Sound OK? Russell ps - see if Fai17 is interested in donating something - I supplied stuff for his Santa Cruise ( as did others up here AFAIK), I am sure he will return the favour.
  18. Gogs - your going to the wrong people for bits again, 2-piece discs and DS2500 pads for 540 pounds. I've done it for 3 sets so far on the Newage STi's (2 sets Godsped, 1 set DBA) and results we VERY GOOD! Russell

  23. PMSL Z1000 - Id look at changing the head gaskets M8! - fill up the rad and then put an empty 300ml water bottle in front of the battery and stick the overflow tube from the coolant reservoir (yellow capped plastic tube in front of the battery) into the bottle. go for a blast (ON BOOST).............no fluid in bottle - head gaskets OK....................water bottle has fluid in it - HEAD GASKETS GONE!!! GOOD LUCK! Russell
