  1. Aye a replacment for the blade! A Ducati? I didn't know you had changed the Blade. As for the freelander I got fed up of not being able to go snowboarding when we had snow, so it seemed a logical choice at the time pmsl
  2. Yeah I did get the beemer sold got a Freelander now! don't laugh lol
  3. Picked up my new toy at the weekend
  4. I've had a few differant sets of coilovers on my Imperza's. The Tein's were the best so far! I didn't really get a chance to get them properly tried out though!! sold the car before I got the chance to try them on track The first set I tried were AVO's (NOT RECOMMENDED) leaked from day one and had a couple replaced under warranty. The last straw was when one snapped in half just at the top of the threads that adjust the ride height!! Could've been very nasty if traveling at speed!!! They were however very well set up (damping etc) and very good on both track and our local bumpy roads. These cost around £750 The second set were KW variant 3 these were very nice to look at lol!! Not so well set up as the AVO's but did have rebound and compression damping which I could have probably had someone who knew there stuff to set them up properly and make them perfect. These were pretty good on track but a wee bit harsh on the local roads. These cost around £1000 Then the Tein's I went for them because I wanted to try something differant and liked the idea of the EDFC. I fitted these without the EDFC motors connected for a start and the were ok, maybe just a wee bit harsh. But still much better than the standard set up. Once the EDFC was connected a perfect setting could be found for any type of road surface. These cost around £1200 These would be my first choice if I was buying suspension again and would recomend them to anyone. I have to say though I did like the look of the APEX items on the scoobynet groupbuy. In between all this I tried various types of shock and spring combinations ie Bilstien/prodrive/sti etc but was never 100% satisfied with them
  5. Nice I did think about them before I bought the Tein's but decided I liked the idea of the EDFC with the Tein's. If I didn't have so much stuff in my garage and it wasn't so cold or dark at nights now I would've gave you a hand to change them. Shouldn't take any longer than 90 minutes lol!
  6. Well got my playstation up and running tonight. Arrived a day late Not had a chance to play any games though but thought I'd add in my username, might see some of you online Usernames 1 royce1 (rosshendry23) 2 luisisdaman (neill54) 3 g7prs (paul555sti) 4 toby-69 (toby69) 5 6 7 8 9
  7. I switched mine on today to make sure I got my username correct before posting up on here, Only to be greated with the comment on screen; 'Cannot start. The correct hard disc was not found' !!!!! Hats off to Playstation help desk though as they said I'll have a replacement on my door on Tuesday Never used the online play yet but could be good over the winter months. Just bought SBK08 so looking forward to giving it a try on Tuesday
  8. Thanks It's a 3 litre seems to have quite a bit of go about it, but just totally differant from the scoob!! I did say to the other half it would be much better with a turbo or maybe even a supercharger but she wouldn't give me the nod!! I'll keep trying Going to try it out on track on the 30th and see what its like. Might even be brave enough to turn the Traction control off So far a great replacement to the scoob, does twice the MPG approx 550miles to £65!! scoob only managed about 250miles to £60 and that was on a good day!! Cheaper road tax next year, only by about £50 but it's a start! and less than half the price to insure and thats not even Garaged!!!
  9. Just thought I'd post up a couple pics of the new car now the the Scoob has gone!
  10. Nice bike If your not already a memeber have a look on http://www.mcmc.org.uk/ and I'll maybe see you out on a run sometime. It a great club and all types of riders (newly passed test to highly experinced) can be found on the same run and all enjoy it.
