Gutted for you Craig.......................this is not on! He's done everything he has to help the guy out, travelled to see him, let him drive the car, etc and still no resolution to the issue. If he had an incling that he couldn't ge tthe money for some reason, WHY SHAKE HANDS ON IT! If you don't have the money, you don't go looking for the car! Hope Craig gets this sorted out ASAP! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Subaru-Impreza-STI-V...1QQcmdZViewItem Had I not been in the middle of a negotiation over a WR1 with 7K on the clock, I'd buy it, do it up and sell it on! Might be worth looking at as I am sure it ticks a lot of your boxes. It's worth 6k easily with a right engine! which your uprating anyway! Russell

Not unless you have a programmable ECU that can have the MAF scaling calibrated to take into account he difference in Air flow abilities (g/sec) the Nissan MAF sensor will give you. Russell

Yes M8................................... dss_scoob is one of them though ( does that count as cheating?) Otherwise It'd be 3[:'(] Russell

Guys - CHILL! I just though I was playing Craig at his own game with the light-hearted digs that we have been throwing at each other for several weeks now.[{] I can be childish - I'LL FREELY ADMIT THAT - But to think that I would actually sent a malicious PM to someone about a certain car would be wrong. I know that Craig is in fact a level-headed, decent bloke at heart but we just aren't "bonding well right now" as my wife would say. She says that we are as stubborn as each other. For once I have to agree with her (don't tell her though He has a right to be unhappy based on what happened in the past, but if that means we can't rip the pish out of each other like (it seems) we like to do then life will get boring pretty soon! Anyway - I can't wait to get home and collect my winnings. Aforementioned bet losers - you know who you are - have those fivers ready! Russell

21 minutes....................EXCELLENT! Even when your not talking to me, your making me money! Had a bet on with 4 other SIDC members who all bet me a fiver on how long it took you to bite. I WON ALL 4 BETS!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Craig. HOOK..........................LINE.......................SINKER! [] Russell

*Edited out as I've decided to contact the new owner of a certain ex-Aberdeen STi9 rather than paste it all up on here* Russell

You fitting it? Might be cheaper to buy one on Ebay as the total cost is where u save, I only get the UK clutches for aroud the 170 mark. Russell
-
Didn't think that it was the clutch that's why I asked. Synchros sound the obvious choice but based on your PM Col....it migh tbe more than that! Russell

Well, seeing as I am fitting it........I need to do the mileage to fix all the RAF fitting and dodgy welding and general 1/2-arsed fitting that my work involves. I'll need a lot of exhaust paste as I am sure someone will tell you. that and a little of Pirteks help to guide me in the wrong direction again.[:#] Russell -
MOAN, MOAN, MOAN...................................Your beginning to sound like................[:#] Just enjoy the car and don't worry about it! Russell

Let me know how you get on..........I just need to get the engine and box in mine and the Map is set for early August and I'll be there in late September! I'll be desparate to run the 1500 miles in on this engine that I may just drive straight to the mappers hoose the long way instead of flying him up here!! Russell -
Hope you aren't out spending all your money on petrol Steve...........................I'd hate for you to not have any spare money in May ;-) Russell

U sure its the clutch? NORMAL UK Clutch fitted (includes skimmed flywheel) - 335 STI Clutch fitted (includes skimmed flywheel) - 420 From a guy up here in Aberdeen [:|] Russell

I too will highly recommend Kev @ Town and County in Aberdeen. His workmanship that I have seen is first class and there are several guys right now getting their cars modded by him. HOWEVER.......... Is Kev the ONLY GUY who will service your car?............he is the ONLY one I would trust there. Craig Mac has put a lot of time and effort into getting SIDC club members a great deal at T&C and has to be commended for that. Use them, or whoever you wish, as it is your pride and joy that is being looked at after all. YOU need to be happy that the work is being done the way you want it. Kev certainly meets the grade when it comes to workmanship (unlike me, apparently) and you will be well looked after by him so if you feel that is worth the extra money you pay Subaru then don't think about it, go to T & C. Russell ps - I supply a similar warranty on NEW PARTS .........................Used parts I don't as the previous owner of said USED PART may have really stressed that part beyond what it is capable of withstanding and only sold it on to get rid of it before it blew up[] Russell ps - do Town and County supply 12 month warranty on their servicing?

Its the Connector Plug that is on the Drivers Suspension Turret. The sensor (on WRX's, the STI doesn't have one) is in the uppipe. Russell
-
What you need is a 2200 OHM resistor placed across the connector where the EGT used to be connected ( front of Drivers suspension Turret ). Russell

True - but the problem seems to be that the clutch is slipping due to the power levels on RA95's car. This is about clutch plate material and clamping force. Exedy clutch covers have a different "Clamping Force" to the exedy ones! Russell
