  1. I thought I spotted him eyeing up a Fiat Panda on Saturday.
  2. I stand humbly before Lord Grant of Fuji Heavy Industries. The spoiler from the 203 was my first choice for my car, but I didn't have the spare grand to buy it, so went for the Spec C replica from Scott Lowe.
  3. Grant, is the old "you can't go over Xbhp" rule not been canned? Looking at the website and it seems that it has Subaru badges etc. on it at least.
  4. A nice Black Scott Lowe splitter would work a treat too! They're the bees kneeeeeees.
  5. Oh yes. Don't think my backside would get in the wee recaros though.
  6. Chaps and indeed ladies. I completley forgot about my group buy thing so I apologise. I've had a bit of stuff to take care of recently due to changing jobs and some personal stuff. I'll kick it off in the new year hopefully.
  7. Watch when you're fitting the new one that you get good seals round the various holes, and cover up the brake light cable hole if you're getting one without the brake light. I ended up with a wet boot a few times after fitting mine, but it's fixed now thanks to some double sided tape, some plumbing washers and a spoonful of GENIUS.
  8. Andy, did you spot the Corsa just off the A876 at the BP station? How the hell do you flip a car off an almost straight road!?!?!
  9. It was a saloon Gus. I'll never forget coming round that corner and seeing it in the field. It was a bugeye, but it should still fit yours.
  10. I used Costco in Glasgow for tyres once a few years back. They were more professional, by a distance, than any of the local slow-fits. The tyres were rank though - "Kormorans" - but were cheap tyres for a cheap car. I've always thought about Winter Tyres, but I don't know if we get enough weather in Glasgow to make them a viable option or not.
  11. Go see Tinos car next time at Knockhill. Not only did it provide excellent shelter from the rain and cold but he gave me a rundown of the spec and I was very impressed. More Defis than your average defi stockist too!
  12. I had some terrific understeer with my Bridgestones last night when I wasn't pushing on. They just don't cope with moisture IMHO.
  13. How does he keep it so CLEAN?!?!?!? Is his boot full of oompah loompas and the entire meguiars collection?
  14. Billy just explains that his STI is rattling and has crap tyres, and that the service he's had from the dealer is not what it should be. And if they offered him his Terzo back he'd take it. It was in response to a new vs. old test Banzai did recently. They'd like to hear from more people with experience of both.
  15. Wilky, may I suggest a sneeze guard/drool catcher for the engine when you're showing it off? A very very good spec indeed. I'm playing in the little leagues power wise as everyone knows. But it keeps a smile on my face and gets me to work, round A roads, B roads and Knockhill nicely. But next year it will lose some cats and gain some power
  16. Nice letter Billy! Sticking it to the man.
  17. 3 Points + £60? Not me. My dad. I must say it's given me a week and a halfs worth of lording it over him because he complains I drive too fast, despite having never been pulled by the federation.
  18. I'm on the prodrive settings as oobster mentioned. I've had it on the car now for 4 months and I've not noticed any worse tyre wear. If anything I'm getting less wear!
  19. Chaps, there's a place down in England where you can go and it's like a JCB Theme Park. Maybe we should do a run down there.
  20. Tractor drivers are just an easy target Andy. No one has patience any more. If people knew how to overtake properly in the first place half of these situations would never happen.
  21. Welcome to Scotland - put yer foot down a bit further son.
  22. Al, I'm no expert, but I'd guess the intake side is what's holding you back now. I remember reading something which slated a K&N filter over a standard one, although that was for a yank tank and not a WRX. Perhaps some sort of Cold Air Intake is where its at. My engine plans for next year are quite similar to what you've done, with the exception of the headers, so your results give me something to aim at. OH, I forgot to say - those are good figures. You shouldn't be disappointed.
  23. Paint it silver and put your own number plate on it!
  24. From my ultra reliable fuel calculating spreadsheet: Litres 39.83 Miles 147 MPG 16.77819501 MPL 3.690685413 Which isn't bad Ed. My record without a track visit is 18. 12 With a visit.
  25. Like this one Chris? That's who I've bought mine from. You'll need a controller kit with servos + receiver etc. and also batteries and charger. £60 for that as far as I can see.
