  1. It met the whirly out the back at pace and snapped the steering on it. For the 3rd time! I've found somewhere to get parts so I might get some and get it all fixed up.
  2. CHooooooon!
  3. Think I read 28mph for a standard TT-01 chassis Del. This one is a TT-01D as it comes with a better motor and bearings and stuff. I was tempted by that one you were talking about, but I'm a sucker for a drifter. We'll get them out for the lads at the January meeting eh? I'll maybe even see if I can get the brat working too! Got that when I was about 14!
  4. I'm trying to convince my dad that a 2.0R Legacy would make a good replacement for his 180K Merc. He's driven my Impreza few times and he likes it. A bit stiff but likes the performance. Infact the first time he took it out he left a boy standing on the sliproad onto the north bound M74 at the Raith Interchange. It was funny.
  5. They elected Bush Jr for president TWICE too! Well perhaps only once as the first time round he probably cheated, but the second time round they actually did vote him in. NOW THAT'S SCARY! There's a Public Enemy song called "Son of a Bush" which sums up the Busy dynasty very well with the line "He's the son of a BAD MAN".
  6. << lol never mind battery power nitro is the way to go 60mph plus >> I got it for £60 though! Someone I know was building a car for their kid and I remember building my first Tamiya one and loving it, so I went for a wee jaunt round the internet and found this Drift spec one and I was sold. If my paint skills were up to it I'd maybe consider doing it in the Yukes Impreza colours, but I've got the hand eye co-ordination of a small child when it comes to small details.
  7. You'd all love to be a pursuit driver though. Go on. Admit it.
  8. The question is - Rally Slag look like the picture, or paint it black, stick a big ginger fecker in the driving seat and make it look like mini-me.
  9. I noticed everyone was looking as I pulled away. Are the mudflaps loud when they're scraping along?
  10. They're out looking for people doing 73 on the motorway! Whilst not scoffing Doughnuts.
  11. Yes, I will be entering the scary world of the drifter. Just waiting on this being shipped in straight from the far east. Drift Spec Impreza.
  12. You were looking pretty fly for a white guy in the pinstripes Chris.
  13. It was a good night indeed. Although your commitment to the cause was brought into question Ed. It took me ages to find the damn place as the map on the website was totally pish.
  14. Driving away with the handbrake on and wondering WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG!?!?!? Took me about 30 seconds to work out what it was. I was driving a FWD car at the time so it just felt like it was dragging its heels. I was only 17 at the time.
  15. It's tonight aye? I should be along. Just listen out for scraping mudflaps.
  16. I'm somewhere in the land that time forgot between Alloa and Kincardine. Or at least I am until next Friday when I say good bye for good and move to a job in Edinburgh to help fund the modding addiction.
  17. A fine role model Grant. I can see why you drive what you drive now. Most of my childhood, and indeed late teens have involved falling off bikes. Notable accidents when I was old enough to really know better include hitting a tree so hard the frame of the bike bent and doing a stoppie that resulted in a broken elbow a week before going to Florida for 3 weeks. But the king of them all involved a summers day so hot the tarmac on my mates driveway was just about melting. It was the late 80s and I was wearing fine 1980s summer clobber - short shorts and a t-shirt. After getting speed up at my house I travelled the 100 or so yards down to his at full pelt on my BMX. I can't remember how the last part of the stunt was supposed to go but when I hit his driveway I realised I was going WAY to fast. Bailed, landed on the tarmac, Slid about 30 feet, most of which on my skin. Crammed into his garage door leaving a dent that was there 10 years later. I think it took about 3 days before the tarmac finally washed off.
  18. I'm aiming for full decat (probably H+S), appropriate samcos and then the Andy F treatment. Should get me near the 300 mark I hope.
  19. Damn straight it's impressive. I'm going to have to aim pretty high next year. We've got some tasty cars north of the border indeed.
  20. Oh aye! I'd be pissed for 73 in a 70. Less so with 32 in a 30, but still not entirely happy about. Remember, it's Christmas. They need to hit those quotas early so they can get a wee bit of time off to get the shopping done. It's cold too, you don't want to be out on the streets too long.
  21. Bloody right Andy. You can't let them abuse the road and just ignore it. I must have passed you on the road BTW as I left work about 10 past.
  22. Sharon, I never said it wasn't harsh. Just my personal opinion about speeding in 30s. I'm not in a position to talk about anyones use of the road as I've bent a few rules in my time, but I'll crawl down the mainstreet at 20mph if it's busy. I don't fancy pulling a child out of the scoop.
  23. Gus. Did you account for your PPP? I believe it removes some of the cats. So you can possibly save some cash as you wont need to remove them all. I'm personally going for the decat + remap next year, money willing.
  24. HEh, sorry Grant. I did of course mean to say UNDER READ! I've got to stop typing whilst holding conversations with the people in my head.
  25. If it was flaming then it was Col. Me and him had a lovely wee drive down the A9 after the November run. His flamer kit was great.
