  1. I would like to hear the story in painstaking detail. As someone with an inquisitive mind and a penchant for a good engineering story.
  2. Gareth, if you're going south on the M74 then Happendon is the junction after Lesmahagow. 50 miles from Lochwinnoch going up the 74, then the m8 etc. The convoy is going up the M74 then onto the M73 north to the M80. I guess you could turn off at the M8 and head home. You should make it in time I'd say. If you click the link in my sig you'll be able to pinpoint wher Happendon is.
  3. Then we send the boys round?
  4. There's your pictures for you. THe forum uses bbcode rather than standard HTML. So put <img>url</img> except replace the less than and greeater than with the appropriate square brackets.
  5. If you click my name here on the forums it tells you my surname!
  6. Good luck fee. Can't help, but I am pleased to see the word dicking gets through the swear-o-matic 3000.
  7. The FMIC sellers will be crying in their Tea. I remember seeing a photochop of a 2 door new age STI with flared arches and it looked fantastic. Except the blue and gold colour scheme. Never been a fan. Can't see it catching on.

  9. Didn't work Del. But if everyone clicks the link in my sig and then selects one of the bubbles round kames/m74 then they can zoom in and see whats what.
  10. It is gus. One and the same.
  11. Yes. Yes you can.
  12. Spooks et al, are you going as far down as Kames on the Sunday morning? Glasgow is meeting at Happendon services, just off the M74, just where the Kames overnighters will be joining the M74 actually.
  13. 63 on my first complete run through. Kept crashing. More akin to the sliding handbrake parking in GTA games!
  14. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/south_...and/4946634.stm The bit about a driver clocked at an average speed concerns me a bit. Given my recent 3 and 60 from the Dumfries plod I'm a bit wary of the M74/A74. It's one of the best kept stretches of road in the country and it's quite easy to find yourself drifting north of 70.
  15. If you google for bubb rubb there's plenty of funny sites out there. The dot com in particular has merchandise. It's fantastic.
  16. Hello, welcome and so forth. Enjoy the forums and the community.
  17. http://video.download.com/3800-11166_53-1138.html If you've done a few laps of the internet you'll have seen this before, but some people haven't, and it cracks me RIGHT up. Anyway, the whistle tips mentioned in the video have been seen, or indeed heard locally a few times recently. So watch out for them.
  18. BINT! Great word.
  19. Chris. Been a pleasure to have made your acquaintance in the relatively short time I've known you. Good luck with the new work, and don't be a stranger. You're always welcome on the bellshill bypass []
  20. Enjoy the retirement Jamie.
  21. Are you sure about that? Colour, not the power.
  22. Bellshill have go go juice at 99.9.
  23. Good point re the seats Peter. My car being a malteser means it came with proper seats, albeit in simple black trim rather than black and blue in the STI. UK Spec had the ass friendly ones with the side air bags. They're of no use when you're in a 4g inverted dive with a MIG28.
  24. I have a 2005 WRX which has the inverted struts like the STI. I have Tein springs, whiteline alloy droplinks and prodrive geometery settings. For such little outlay the handling of the car has been transformed. The handling pack they'll be talking about will be the Prodrive springs and geometery setup I imagine. The STI already has the solid droplinks I believe, so you wont need them. That's all warranty friendly and really will sharpen the car up. Completely agree about the WRX brakes. Especialy compared to an elise! Better pads do help, but the only real solution is bigger brakes.
