  1. I think the time of year has a lot to do with it as Pete said. Post-christmas blues seem to have extended well into April given the truly pish weather we've been having. Hopefully the RB Relay, the trackday and AWD open day this month, and an appearance from mr sun, will once again invigorate the community into life for what will hopefully be a truly excellent season of events, runs and meets. That's the whole community too. Not just us from the west. Hell we have to come to Knockhill and Crail to get our fix of track/strip driving and we don't complain.
  2. http://www.frappr.com/scottishscoobies - Just look where a lot of the people are clumped around. I think you've raised some points that maybe 3-6 months ago would have been entirely with merit, but the amount of "shat" posted is now fairly low. There's 3 threads on the first page that are "o/t". I remember when we struggled to find 3 threads that were on topic. Yes there's banter, and yes it often comes from the usual suspects (I've been known to contribute or be the target of it myself), but I for one wouldn't come here half as much if I didn't think I'd get a wee slice of humor with my technical advice and general SCOTTISH scooby related chit-chat.
  3. Mind next Sunday is easter Chris. Roads might be busy with families out for 30mph jaunts in chelsea tractors.
  4. Caught the first BTCC race live on motors TV. Then the DTM live, then delayed coverage of race two of the BTCC before race 3 live on either it or ITV. Superbikes taped for later. Oh and MotoGP yesterday as it was from Qatar. BLISS. And the WRC too!
  5. I'm 6'4" and tons of fun and the new age suits me nicely. Did take a bit of time to get my ass grove into the bucket seats though.
  6. Looks good Brian. You haven't left the protective film on your phone's camera have you?
  7. T1-R replaces the T1-S so I'd tend to get the Rs. I'm in the market for a new set myself very soon and it'll be the T1-R that I'll be getting.

  9. Yes. You've caught me red handed. I had to google thrice to check that it was Clint though. I can't see him as a singer.
  10. Clint Eastwood, paint your wagon.
  11. Bandit, PPP also involves either a map or a swap of the ECU itself for a pre-mapped unit. Anyone care to confirm or deny?
  12. Curses. Filtered at work!
  13. Can't wait to see the first Impreza in the SIDC with this Justy engine swap. Should be great!
  14. Spotted it a minute ago on my tours of the web. Nasty.
  15. Not sure what the settings are, even though I have them on my car, but I do know there's a place in Sighthill that does them. Forget the name now though. You'll want alignment done AFTER you get any mods done, as a lot of the mods can upset the alignment obviously.
  16. If you were getting Tein coilovers you'd want the EDFC ones though surely! A wee gadget in the car to adjust the suspension -- YES PLEASE.
  17. http://www.cuscoshop.co.uk/acatalog/gd8.html - I bought my rear brace off that guy, via ebay. Top stuff. I've got a Cusco one on the front that hypertech got me. Posted in the other thread by accident.

  19. Get decent strut braces. Cheap is not always chearful.
  20. Rubens was a glorified tester at Ferrari. If he was close to Michael in a race then it was only because they were testing a bit out on his car that was working quite nicely.
  21. Someone's stole your windscreen Fee! Car's looking good though.
  22. Bandit, I'll take you for a spin in the bat mobile at the next trackday if I'm there. I'll no end up like this again. HONEST!
  23. With the Bothwell Bludgeoner in hot pursuit! 'MON THE GINGERS!
  24. Droplinks + Geometery. First and very foremost. The change felt with those alone was frankly ridiculous on my WRX. The car went from decent, but a bit vague at the limit and nervous at high speed on the motorway to being so ridiculously planted it was like a whole new car. I have the 05 WRX too, which has different suspension to the previous years. It's more like the STI. Inverted struts springs to mind. I've got the Teins on mine as oobster said, and I did rattle the splitter off a speedbump in bathgate and it's taken a chunk out of it. The ride is a bit harsh, but the handling is definetely better than it was on the old springs. The 17" wheels no longer look like they're too small. Oh and I'm also running a Cusco front strut brace which had a bit of an effect. That was installed post drop links but pre Teins. I've got a cusco rear brace but not installed it yet as I need to take the seats out to get it in.
