  1. www.partbox.co.uk - they have Volks, although their site was gubbed last time I looked. Nemesis and Envy too I believe.
  2. http://www.katu.com/video/video_player.asp..._audi_crash.wvx Mad.
  3. Hey, ho, even us from the posh end of Bothwell know what a Cludgie is.
  4. Good to see you back Mrs JC. And with a fine car too.
  5. Sorry chaps. Couldn't make it after all. Got stuff I had to take care of this morning then plans for late afternoon.
  6. It's good to see you back Andy. It's been a less pretty place without Alizee.
  7. It's a great place to learn as there's always someone that's up to something exciting, and there's plenty of people around to explain the technical aspects of whats going on. I certainly can't claim to be an expert when it comes to the technical side of car modifications, but I know a damn sight more today than I did when I bought the car. And my wallet is a damn sight lighter too!
  8. A remap is basically when a mad scientiest with a crazy set of headphones and a laptop wires themselves up to your car and tinkers with the car's ECU (Engine Control Unit) to make the car faster. The ECU will have an "engine map" programmed into it which will control how the engine works. He/she will "remap" the ECU by providing it with a map which should free up more performance in the engine. With his/her funky headphones (det cans) he will listen to the engine and with his/her laptop he/she will make adjustments to the finer points of this map before unplugging themselves and letting you drive off into the distance at warp factor 11. Read this for more information - http://www.ecutek.com/tuning/ The man in Scotland to speak to is Andy Forrest - http://andyforrestperformance.co.uk/
  9. LOL. If Adam is imaginary then it will be a lonely weekend Fee. The Lodge looks great. Wonder if she'd let me go out on the quad bikes.
  10. Aye.We're still right. You lot just wont do what you're told RUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
  11. I got my WRX when I was 23, brand new, and was insured with Elephant. I did have 3 years no claims by that time though.
  12. I've never been in it Andy, it just looked s****y and I heard it was. I was going to take my good lady up there when she came to visit but I may have to rethink that.
  13. There's some fantastic roads round there. The Glasgow meetr took a trip on some of them a few weeks ago and they were great fun. I can't remember what the 1 great road in particular was as it was dark and I was too busy concentrating on the cars in front. Things to do - Helensburgh for a quality Fish Supper. You're not far from Glasgow for a visit to thee finest city on earth. Duck Bay Marina at Loch Lomond. Very s****y. There's plenty of things to do, and great roads to drive to get to those places.
  14. I'm almost certain the Black WRX in the pits is mine.
  15. He had touted said wares to me. It's a good price, and openning my bonnet and seeing STI on the Intercooler is certainly worth a few quid. But I just can't justify it. I'll get some pink paint and just draw it on!
  16. Cool. That's pretty much what I thought. I'll still be needing the Samco hose from you then Bing.
  17. Question - the WRX TMIC - what is it rated to? When I get my changes made - Panel Filter, Decat, Remap will I be held back by the standard WRX TMIC? Would an STI one give me better performance, increase safety margins etc. etc.? I have no intentions of doing any more mods past what I've said above. No headers. No uprated turbos etc. etc. etc. so I'm not looking to spend money on something I don't need.
  18. Baz, that's an HKS SSQV. The daddy.
  19. I look forward to attempting to keep up behind your car with the proper turbo and remap ally. I have no doubt it will be FECKING HARD.
  20. http://forums.sidc.co.uk/forums/641646/ShowPost.aspx A wee bit of info on these "Harness Bars". The trackday warriors should be interested.
  21. Welcome. I've run out of new and interesting ways to say that.
  22. Glovebox rattle - check. Drivers Seat - squeeks a bit, but not for a while. Now I've said that it will of course start again. Used to get a rattle at the rear that stopped after about 3 months. BUT! Now I've picked up a new one at the rear. Appears to be more aimed to the drivers side and it's a rattle/squeak when I go over certain bumps at certain speed! Only seems to have started since RAC Windscreens did my front screen replacement, but why would a rattle from the rear occur after that? I'm thinking it's the rear seats because the car handles spot on so it can't be suspension and I've checked all the bolts on the rear wing too. So I'm going to get a rear cusco strut brace because to fit that needs the rear seats out. Might as well upgrade whilst I'm fixing. That's Peter's philosophy isn't it?
  23. Think the gummybear has a full H+S Decat + GT Spec(?) headers. First time I heard it at full tilt was leaving shell kincardine on the way to knockhill one day. I was fuelling up and he was heading down to the waste ground. It sounded like the 4 horsemen of the apocolypse had just left in a hurry.
  24. www.st3ph3n.com/engine.mp3 - should be a recording of my japslash in a tunnel on there. It does sound fantastic up close and personal.
  25. If you just want the backbox then the H+S jap slash sounds just fantastic. I will be selling mine in a month or two when I get a full turbo back system fabricated somewhere.
