  1. Hmmm option B is looking good so far! Anymore for anymore?
  2. Okay troops, this one is open to the shop floor. The gearbox on the millenium Falcon is not too clever ATM. I am in the process of negotiating something to replace it which will make a few jaws hit the floor, however, what should I do about the May run? Do I ; A. Say "Aaaaaah f*** it!" and drive in my normal ram raider style. B. Take out life insurance and ride shotgun will the Gumball. C. Get my pipe, checked cap and string backed gloves and poodle along with the body of the kirk, saying "Need to watch the old box you know! ho ho ho!" D. Stay at home, turn the heating up full blast and kneel cross legged in the livingroom beating myself with riding crop during the duration of the run as punishment for breaking in the first place. E. Book a flight to Austria and visit my "Auntie" Sabenia, denying all knowledge of ever having owned a subaru in the style of Judas Escariate? Post your answers below, and before you ask, no because it will get covered in stonechips. Callum W
  3. << more interesting i agree, I have just recently seen and witnesed an induction kit simler to yours being moded to be placed down where the intake duck is on the front bumper, rather than running the pipe work up to the fillter as u you have done, similler effect. >> I have been running an induction similar to the one you describe for about 7 months now, with the FMIC at cruise I see 2degrees above ambient air temp, kicking the backside out of things I see about 12- 15 degrees above ambient summer 8- 10 winter. I have no AFR because my ECU works off MAP. The man who fabricated the induction I have does use AFR. He reports similar findings with no affect to his AFR readings. Just avoid deep puddles Oh, and the cars a classic Callum W
  4. You will be looking for a long time mate, they are in demand and those who have them can ask for £1700 upwards without blinking an eyelid. You will need the linkage, propshaft AND remember to match the diffs. If you want to use your own propshaft you will need it shortened about 40mm. £1700 is a kind estimate and it all weighs in about 30kg heavier. If you are desperate for one, API etc will always be able to source you one and give you the advice needed, they are a good crew, Dave is the man to talk to, but its an expensive game, u will get a good box but you will pay for it. 5. << as they say in my homeland "pshpshpshpsh" can't beat some CHINESE WHISPERS. >> And you my friend, are wired to the feckin moon!
  6. << as for AWD, i would do that as a last resort, just becuase its a tank of optimax getting there and back for me, but still an option. . >> Christopher, stop being so bloody diplomatic, lol
  7. Indeed my gumballing friend, get it wrong and you will be foaming at the mouth like a mujahadeen rebel after a good fire fight.
  8. Speak to Robinh20mrv, he has experience of this matter. Callum W
  9. In my experience of bonnet pins, you mount the shafts first, tipex the top,Which will show you where to drill, close the bonnet and then open it again, looking at the white marks, drill the holes, making them big enough to close the bonnet with the shafts protruding. This then allows you to see where you are going to mount the pins and body. Buy quality ones, not the pish from halfrauds which bend like Marc Almond in the Blue Oyster Bar. Callum W

  11. As above, converts a right angled TD05 to front entry, I have no need for it now, bought it for £70 last year and never used it, allows a TD05 16g to be fitted to a 97 onwards car. £55, that includes postage and packing. A gift. PM me or call 07843095248. Callum W
  12. Speak nicely to CRD at the indudstrial estate in East calder, they will sell you some, go to the Crd side of the road not the car sales side. Callum W
  13. Ahhh yes! She made wrecking the front diff worth while that day! Myself and the combat Gheko saw her having photos taken in the rain, she was in tatters. Myself and Chris wanted to go into "Knight in shining armour" mode however id just given him a firemans lift over a muddy puddle and was struggling to recompose myself after what should have been a four man lift, so we just mingled with the crowd covertly, and tried not to letch.
