I spoke with the man in charge of the developement of the cars at the McRae gathering and had a good nosey round the only prototype which looked outstanding, infact if anyone at the gathering went to the subaru Stand you probably saw it and never realised it.

SA -Hitlers bodyguards which eveolved into the SS
Deiselhons - Translates to "deisielhands" Terzoneils alternative "handle"
Night of the long Knifes - The name given to the night Hitler had all his polictical opposition taken out during his rise to power.
Uber alles - German for All Over refering to "All over the world" The words removed from the German national anthem at the end of the war to de nazi it and imortalised in the song "California Uber alles" by the dead Kennedys.
I though you were an educated man Ian, lol
I was looking at about 2000 people deiselhons, if you want to get noticed in amongst everyone dressed in similar clothes as yourself I suggest youmake more of an effort,

You dont want to hump your bottom end so what you want to do is make the power without pushing silly boost through it. MD321T in the correct trim should see 400bhp easy with an acceptable level of boost.
The best thing you can do is to speak to the man who will be mapping it. Tell him what you want and take his advice as to what set up to aim for.
I had an identical set on a car a number of years ago, they were fine and never gave an ounce of bother.
They were well constructed and although I did have my doubts about the flexi joint it never gave any problems.
I bought them at the time because I simply couldnt afford gucci fandango ones.
Its just your donald duck, but FWIW they looked well made.
I absolutley feckin hammered the life out of them before I needed a bottom end rebuild and I put them on the replacement engine which is still running with them to this very day somewhere in darkest Inverclyde.
I put them on in 2004

Prada is a road tyre that is good for going fast and is fairly good on track.
Toyo T1S / T1R are good road tyres that go well on track. T1S are rubbish in the winter, T1R are pretty good in the winter..
R888 are slicks made road legal. Breathtaking in the dry, good in the wet when warmed up and in the summer. To be avoided at all costs in the winter.

Thats me done about 500 miles on the 888s in both the wet and the dry and I have to say they are awesome.
I have 235/ 40/ 18s and in the dry the handling is razor sharp and what you would expect from a tyre a grade softer than what im used to and putting down more surface contact.
In the wet they are good as well PROVIDING YOU HAVE WARMED THEM UP FIRST. From cold if pushed they will let go, but once you have a bit of heat in them they are excellent.
If you are concidering a set and dont mind the fact that they will wear out a bit quicker than your average tyre I would say go for it.
I wont be having them on the car in the winter however.
