  1. Hi Hawkins You picked up the beast yet, I am really looking forward to seeing this car. Cheers Iain

  3. Hawkins Zerosport per chance? Cheers Iain
  4. Hi all I have done it again and double booked lol, I will be at Airkix in MK on the 25th, it was a gift for Christmas so I have to go sorry have a good day, I pulled 350bhp at may last mapping session if that counts Cheers Iain
  5. For controlling higher than std boost pressure the Apexi Avcr is second to none, ok it looks flash but all you have to do is set it up and it does the rest for you, on the other hand like mentioned already a decent manual boost controller like the Turbosmart Boost Tee, or Dawes device when set up correctly on a cold day would suit your needs. Using the std boost control is also an option but I would only recommend using a 3 port solenoid for this as the 2 port is rubbish at higher than std boost levels, obviously a remap would be required for any increase in boost. Cheers Iain
  6. Its ok mate he knows He should have the payment just after the holiday weekend. Cheers Iain
  7. Dont worry too much about temps mate, if you let your car get up to temp (engine temp gauge on dash) then leave it another 5mins driving around off boost, then you will be fine, if you think about it, wasrm your car up on the drive (obviously with you in it) then set off on your journey, by the time you have hit a main road (depending on where you live) the engine and oil shoud be up to temp, unless you live on a motorway slip road Cheers Iain
  8. Hi mate, it is a good idea to get the engine warm before setting off and keeping off boost until the oil is hot as desciribed above, when shutting the engine off from a gentle run around the town you can just switch it off, if you have just got off the motorway/track etc it is a good idea to let the engine settle and cool down first before switching off, the reason being is that if your exhaust/turbo is still very hot after a good run/blast and you switch off the engine the oil flow round the turbo stops and the oil left in the turbo round the bearings will get roasted, over a period of time this can cause a reduction in flow of oil round the turbo and result in turbo failure. Cheers Iain
  9. I have it now though Thanks Stu Cheers Iain
  10. I dont have your addy yet mate Cheers Iain
  11. That is basically it mate, it gives a signal that the ECU does not expect to see, when you are driving along the ECU will get the false signal from the neutral position switch will result in the misfire as the car is still in gear under load and moving and the ECU expects the car to be in a gear change/parked in neutral situation. Cheers Iain
  12. Honestly the neutral position switch on the gearbox causes this 'Misfire' fault code to appear it is very common. I believe its made of plasic and gets worn or something (I have never had it happen to me yet - touch wood) it can be sorted by removing or fitting a washer (I am not sure how easy it is to get to either), I will see if I can get the info on it for you, it will be at first a very intermittent fault but as the switch wears it will become a constant feature Cheers Iain
  13. I would get your neutral position sensor in the gearbox checked out mate, it is a common cause for this fault. Cheers Iain
  14. I will pop along for this one although I will not be running as I have just been on the rollers there and will bring my printouts Cheers Iain

  16. That would also help Cheers Iain
  17. To be honest if I had thought to remove the bonnet scoop, the spoiler and a few bits from inside the 110mph mark would have been smashed too Cheers Iain
