Alright Del, Was going into my GF's car just outside my house yest n you passed me, just on Dumbarton Road in Old Kilpatrick..... Your car is looking very mean, front end looks superb with the bigger scoop etc....

I think its likely to be a clip rather than a screw, one of the ones that you should make a half turn on and that releases the outer prongs of the clip.... If so if you put a straight screw driver kinda wedged under the screw head and then do the half turn it should prise up allowing you to unclip it..... This is assuming it is a plastic screw..... HTH

It was on 5th gear versus the VXR, it was VBH driving the VXR and an ex Touring car driver in the Diesel. The first test was the 1/4 mile n the VXR edged it, second 1/4 mile from rolling start n the Diesel won it, was a 5th gear roll i think though so turbo lag vs diesel torque. Last was a lap of the track, VXR got off the line quicker so won but the diesel stuck to its back all the way, just wasn't a chance to overtake.... This was a while ago though so some of the above might be slightly wrong due to my dodgy memory!

Like most on here i always pick my parking spaces carefully as i know how clumsy folk are, at supermarkets i park far away and as tight as possible to a kerb to allow maximum space even if some diddy does park next to me, same in work... Tonight i was playing football at goals in Shawlands and literally had no option but to park in a regular space..... [] Get home and realise on my passenger side rear door there is a big scratch where it looks like some f***** has walked along my car with a zip or something rubbing, only about 1.5 inches long but showing some bare metal.... on the drivers side a small vertical line scratch, looks like a door mark.... I know they happened there cos i polished the car at the weekend and then washed it last night, Why the f*** can't people be more careful, so peeved off, may as well drive about in a total heap of sh** old oil burner.....

Nice cars, always liked the 220's and the new shape is pretty sleek looking.... plus RWD is always good Whats the torque / MPG stats.... Have fun with it anyway...

Ah, the eternal lack of grunt RX8 view.... i have to disagree having owned one for a while. Anything thats flies to 72 in 2nd gear and over 100 in third ain't lacking grunt if you ask me, granted there is quicker cars but that is always the case....

Shame about the car, makes me sad as i had an RX8 231 before the Scoob.... Sounds like the the guy may have been a bit over excited going on the track etiquette story but who knows... RX8ER - Not going to rotorstock, always fancied it when i was a member of RX8OC and MRC so read some good stories bout it... have fun and maybe i'll get there someday! Can't say i enjoy it but for the sake of 20 mins and mild discomfort i feel bad for not doing it.... All done for another 3 months now!!

Well i've now been in work for 1.5 hours, its a sunny beautiful day outside and i finish up at 4:15 for over 2 weeks, fantastic!! Plus i'm giving blood Today which is something i've not done for about 2 yrs and feel guilty about so its all good!! Have a good one all! Chris

Just looking for clarification on something...... The dipstick to the right of the turbo is your gearbox oil dipstick right? If yes then i need to top up my oil as its barely registering on it, next two questions - 1 - Do i just buy regular gearbox oil, any specific things to look for / avoid, where to get? 2 - Where is the filler and roughly how much should i need ?
