The Rules - I need to email each of you who will be putting the car on the rollers an Indemnity Form to complete and bring on the day. If we do this now it will save a lot of time on the day. Can you either repost the above list with your email address beside of if you dont wish to publish it please PM me your address and I will forward the form to you for completion. PLEASE BRING IT COMPLETED ON THE DAY.... The Costs - Having agreed a heavily supported price per car with Duncan its really up to you how much you wish to donate to the fund. I will be asking for a flat fee of £35 per car. I will take the money for Hypertech out of this and the rest will go to the Santa Cruise fund. I feel this cost is fair as per previous runs at other establishments and to my knowledge Duncan will be providing you with 3 sets of figures not just the BHP. Not sure how you have worked this before but would prefer for me to be paid via paypal and I will pay Hypertech their share from this. If you do not have Paypal I will accept payment on the day, but would prefer to limit this as I dont want to be handling all the cash........My paypal account is at PaulC555@aol.com (SORRY PLEASE USE JONEENC555@AOL.COM) for payments as I paypal wont let us use the our joint account and jo already has an account...sorry for the inconvenince. The Event - We intend to kick of as close to 9am as we possibly can. Like before Duncan would prefer to do the cars in age order, so the classics will be first, followed by New age and then the other vehicles which are attending. This will allow people to come and go as they please, for example new age cars may not be required until lunch time etc depending on numbers. Can you also now please add your car type to the named list above to let me work this running order out.....Hypertech will be laying on Hot drinks tea, coffee etc, as well as plenty of shelter and toilet facilities for those of a nervous dispositon like me.... All in all its shaping up to be a grand day. We could do with a few more cars for the rollers, as I doubt mine will be running in time....but lets make it a good one anywy...look forward to seeing you all there..... Any questions just ask.... thanks Paul
  7. aye your right mate....... I'll be completely bonkers by the time I get the plugs out.. cheers for the advice mate...just be on standby for a free dinner next sat...
  8. Plugs so far seem to be the number one culprit....any special tools needed guys or just my trusty socket set...that santa got me thats only been opened once.... apart of course from the one thing i dont have which is patience..... suppose now would be a good time to learn with the project i have taken on...
  9. thanks George.....will read this another 20 times to make sure I understand it first....cheers Paul
  10. did this happen suddenly Martin...its just the car started fine with no indication of any problems yesterday...
  11. thanks Martin....will add it to the list of possibles..
  12. yes the car is fully stripped so there is a lot of noises....but Im sure I can hear the fuel pump... Fraz thinks it could be the spark plugs as I havent been driving the car just starting it for a few minutes at a time....? dont fancy changing those..!!
  13. Hi all As you know been working on the track car all week.....and made sure to start it and let it run a few minutes each day.....just to keep it ticking over as it isnt being driven just now... However ...went out this afternoon to finish priming the floor pan and it wont start.... HELP........its turning over okay, but just wont catch....battery fine...fuel fine....anyone any ideas or willing to come and look at it for me....expenses paid...no problem.............not in a mad rush but would like it looked at by next weekend if possible.... anyone able to offer mechanical assistance... PLEASE................. Paul

  16. not yet mate.. always to dark when I get home from work....... hoping to get stuck into it over the weekend...but the weather aint looking good for all the work I had planned.....back box, harnessess, prep for painting etc...arghhhhhhhhh
  17. aye...I just need to ask them all now..... now what did I do with all those brown paper bags...
  18. thanks Brian.............your welcome to pop over any night or drop me a text at the weekend will be pottering about most of this weekend on it..... as for the rollcage there are a few more bars for it...I just unbolted some of them as i was tired climbing over them...plus I have been rubbing them down in prep for painting......
  19. thanks Frank........your all welcome to pop up the hill and see it....and help of course...
  20. yes mate...although autumn / winter isnt the best time to be starting it....most of it will need done at the weekend....as by the time I get home its flippin dark.... but yes looking forward to tinkering...for someone who isnt mechanical though its quite unnerving...will be relying on my fellow sidc folk for help and advice....especially my buds FrazA and TommyTCut.and Brian Rallye6...... ah well will give it a go.. cheers mate Paul
  21. Hi all Finally got home in time from work with some daylight left to get some pics of the new project car. Bought the car from Jamie (Hisoob) after lengthy negotiation...(eh bud) last week and got back home with the help of FrazA and a friendly transporter... Trying to decide now the order in which to carry out the work.....I obviously need to get the harnessess fitted to get the car to Duncan at Hypertech for its MOT and alignment...mechanically the timing belt needs done, the rear box which I got needs fitted and we should be ready to roll. Ordered some harness mounting plates of ebay so should be able to get those in this weekend...and fortunately with working in paintshops most days, I have access to a nice spanky Devilbiss pressure pot system to spray the interior gloss white.....so thankfully Jamie had carried out most of the mechanical stuff, just leaving me the interior and general servicing to be done....so here is some pics for now...obviously for those that know me wont be going into the technical detail like George (cusco kid) has done...but then I'm quite daft that way.... The aim at the end of it all...a well sorted rally replica that I will insure for very limited road use, and will insure for the odd track day...and just spend the rest of the time looking at it and smiling very broadly... will keep you all posted of the progress...if your interested...
  22. cheers frank will check it out anyway and let you know... thanks Paul
  23. I know were the fusebox is okay....the indicators arent working at all...so was wanting to check the fuse first.....however wasnt sure which one it was from the jap writing and number description....guess i will just have to do it the long way... thanks guys Paul
