  1. How about here??? I can do you a how to guide if you want. Took me all of 30 mins to do and keeps it in your line of sight.
  2. Glad to hear it all went well mate. It sure was a rocky road but glad you can finally enjoy the car now. P.s. remember to book your slot in at Playsatan garages for your next round of mods.
  3. Progress!!!! Here's how she stands And here is the main attraction, 2.33 litres of fully forged goodness. Dosen't look like much but that's the way I like it. Soon to be fitted with this bad boy Seems a shame to hide it away down there. Anyway, next few weeks will consist of stripping and cleaning and then maybe think about putting it all back together, the hit list goes....... Fit new turbo, headers, upipe, downpipe Helicoil turbo oil feed on head Remove entire fuel system and replace with -6 setup Raise inlet manifold Remove and reseal sump Remove all vta breather hose and replace with catch can Fit new clutch and flywheel Replace steering rack with ultra quick rack Replace alternator, crank and power steering pulleys with lightweight underdrive numbers Fabricate new intercooler pipework to accomodate relocated turbo Relocate avcr solenoid next to external wastegate Then there is a bunch of other stuff thats got nothing to do with the engine like fit the 6 pots and whiteline goodies. Should all be done by this time next year at this rate.
  4. Really??? That's way slower than I thought it would do it. My standard type r did a 12.9 and it was my first time on the strip.
  5. As you change gear dip the clutch very quicky, grab the next gear and let it up. KEEP THE THROTTLE PLANTED.
  6. There is no way of telling without knowing the spec/model of the car and more importantly the experience of the driver. Some methanold and and extra boost will make your car a bit faster but the real improvements need to be made in the drivers seat. Slow if the line - down .3 of a sec, bogging it down - down 1 sec, fluff a gearchange - down one sec, not changing at the right revs - 1 sec etc etc etc. Get some practice and find a style that works for you and your car. Flat shift if you're feeling brave and nail every one. That said, cossies are bloody quick in a straight line.
  7. Have a look here, should tell you everything you need to know http://www.spda-online.ca/modules/tinycont...rite/tc_28.html
  8. Reason I ask is I needed a new quick rack on mine and came accross a way of doing it for a little less that the £900 plus vat that subaru want for one. If you want to know drop me a pm or something.
  9. I remember seeing it on the rollers at destek and the confused look on people faces as they realised they were standing directly in the firing line.
  10. Slightly off topic but are you still having steering rack issues Fee?
  11. Bummer. Wages were crap anyway and Coulty does make a better biker chick than I ever would.
  12. Yup, just as an example as I didn't have a pic handy.
  13. Don't take this as gosple as I'm not 100% sure about your year but have a look here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Subaru-Impreza-Front...1QQcmdZViewItem
  14. What year of car have you got. If I remember correctly some years have offset links on the fronts.
  15. How deep are your pockets crazy horse?
  16. AVCR doing it's thing Pete?
  17. But what's it going in? That's the question. [:#]
  18. That thing is going to be a weapon. BTW Fee, did you ever sort your dodgy steering rack on the type r?
  19. As far as I'm aware the turbo has been proven capable but supporting mods obviously come into the equation too.
  20. Excellent. You had me worried there.
  21. Hope you phoned the guy, first line of the description please do not bid winning bidder will received a nut
  22. Are you going to rotate it or leave it in the standard location. The turbo of the moment for those sort of figures seem the be the lateral md321. OD turbos are good too though, was having a good nosey at them yesterday.
  23. Ouch. Who ended up paying for that one?
  24. 9/10 psi will just be actuator pressure so it sounds like the ecu may be in safe mode. Have you tried to reset it and see if that helps or throws out an error code? If not look in the FAQ section.
