  1. Take that letter and £210 down to the post office and chance your arm. What have you got to loose.
  2. If you are referring to the little pipe on a my99 OE dump valve that will be the vacuum pipe. That is what is used to activate the dump valve. The car should be fine to use but keep it off boost until you have replaced it as you will effectively be running without a dumpvalve. Many people do this by choice but it can cause extra strain on the turbo.
  3. Good god man! [] Each to there own I guess. My old man just about fell to the floor when I told him how much I spent on a clutch. Madness. I almost feel bad about saying this after the event but I take it you know the jessops 10% off code on their website. Just enter promotional code HOTUKDEALS at the checkout. You can still collect at too store if you select that option. Cracking pics btw. Gonna have to go on one of those track nights and take some supercar scalps.
  4. Any chance of posting up the article Scott? For all the cheapskates.[]
  5. 1 - If your sidelights won't switch off look for the parking light switch on top of the steering column . 2 - Use the search function on the forum before asking the same old question . 3 - The best first mod for an impreza is the exhaust (backbox at least) 4 - Buy a newage 5 - Make sure you get regular quality oil / filter changes every 3 - 4000 miles 6 - Always run the car on good quality fuel - V Power/BP Ultimate/Tesco 99 and add octane booster for safety in an unremapped import 7 - Avoid "chip"ing an impreza - get it remapped by an expert like Andy Forrest (Apexi for classics, ECUtek for newage) 8 - Sell the Newage and buy a Classic 9 - Always wait till the engine is nice and warm before giving it full pelt and let it cool down befrore switching it off 10 - Upgrade your brakes before modding the engine 11 - A VTA dumpvalve isnt really a good idea unless your car is getting remapped to compensate for it. It will momentarily make your car run rich as the ecu gives fuel for air which has been dumped and not recirculated. All you are missing is the gay noise. 12 - Solid rear droplinks and a decent suspension geometry set-up are probably one of the best sub-£100 modifications you can do to a standard car. 13. new ages will undertseer when at the limit 14. If you have a classic get Strutt Braces. The improvement is outstanding! If you have a new age...no luck! loL! 15. Clean out the boost solenoid once in a while and dont fill engine oil right up to max. 16.Go to the SIDC track days at knockhill, you get free tuition from an instructor if you want (plus ensure you wear Cat boots far better that way!!!!) 17. Love every minute of driving and owning it (it will make handing over the credit card much easier 18. Goto meets/Knockhill/Crail and tell us who you are?We don't bite sometimes 20.Join the SIDC and you'll get discounts on insurance and dealer supplied parts in addition to track days. 19. For some obscure reason there is a lot of mention of goats & homosexuals in here. Do NOT let this put you off our forums. 99% of our members are "normal" but we are all fans of The Hoff. 20. Always prefill the oil filter when doing an oil change 21. Dont believe everything you read on the forums. 22. Send off for a Shell card 23. What ever BHP you get, you will never be happy 24. BLUE is the best colour. 25. Is your car standard? - leave it that way.[:@]
  6. Take it everyone has seen these ones too? http://www.motorsports.autoblog.com/2007/0...d-info-surface/
  7. Sorry Grant, you're getting confused. It was last year I entered Miss Iowa. There was a fair bit of noise but no black flags thankfully.
  8. Stephen - do you have your own db meter? Would like to know how loud mine is to avoid getting black flagged at certain events.
  9. Well done Jon, glad to see it's all coming together. You only live once mate, get the one you've always wanted and let the fun begin.[]
  10. Cheers guys, Imy - will defo be ready for June. Looking for someone to lead the slow group? Peter - don't think it's be big enough for you. The Chinese 700 demands only the very best. Marty - patience doesn't come into it mate. I'd love it to be ready the day before tomorrow but it takes as long as it takes. PPP2 was a rush job (don't ask) and working on your car till 4 in the morning 3 days on the trot is not something I want to experince again. End of April is the target but if it gets pushed out a bit, so be it.
  11. Well it's really starting to get there now. Family ties and problems at Playsatan Central (johns jokes and Coulty in general) have held us back a little but it's starting to gain momentum now. Rear crank seal replaced and exedy twin goes on. Flywheel is a hefty 5kg so will have to take it easy off the line now. Yeah right. The new fuel system starts to take shape. Bling bling. The ultra quick rack is fitted. It should really be in a newage spec c so some persuasion was required The more I look at this turbo the smaller it seems. Maybe just sell it now and buy a really big one rather than going through the montions of running it for 6 months as per usual. As always big thanks go out to Satan's little helpers. Next week, it goes in the car []
  12. Not a problem. Would have typed a fuller response (cheers John) but hadn't been to bed for 22 hours when I wrote my reply. Anyway, a picture is worth a thousand words.

  14. All the pulleys and the belts have timing marks, line them up like so
  15. Yes we did. Was meant to be a grudge match with other clubs including the MLR but I think they were busy washing their hair that day. JC took top honours with some handsome ba$tard coming in second.
  16. Sounds like it just needs adjusted mate. Doubt it'll get "better" on it own over time. The fact that some revs helps makes me think that the clutch is not fully disengaging and you are effectively clutchless shifting.
  17. Me too, shame the missus has taken it off of me. Playsatan Performance Phase (PPP) 4 may involve an industrial size blower and a large tub of vasaline to make it fit though.
  18. Here's the only gauge you need mate
  19. Either that or it's the WORST chat up line I've ever heard.
  20. Beware! Most of these switches are connected to the airbag as well as that fooking beeper. Personally, I'd attack the beeper not the wiring.
  21. Remember that 99's are the ones with the fagile mafs so you need to choose very carefully. The daddy is the apexi. Dry filtation, so maf friendly and works really well.
  22. Genuinely LOL
  23. Uncle Playsatan would be happy to double or treble up with anyone willing to take him. Anyway, back onto topic. Fat ar$e$.
  24. I'll take it for you if you want. Is that because your won't be ready yet[] Ehhhhh, maybe [:$] I'm still coming but was planning to hitch a pax ride in as many different cars as possible but this could be a better solution.
