  2. You may have more ponies but he has way less marbles ! Only jesting, just hyping up the title challenge [] CGS
  3. Looking forward to seeing Macca versus Higgy - only 1 extra gear & 20 ponies seperates them ! Could be interesting footage [<)] Roll on the 7th ! Cheers Cal
  4. Hi the downpipe ( if decatted) will likely cause MOT failure Sports Cats work very well but are expensive to buy in the first instance In my opinion, get a Sports cat downpipe. It will cost more but you will be legal and wont have to dick around come MOT time. Strictly speaking if you have a fully decatted exhaust then you are not road legal which in turn can void your motor insurance. See here :- http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/produ...products_id=374 CGS
  5. I would go for :- decat downpipe £180 or so anti-roll bar & drop links £155 on the Scoobynet Demon tweaks group buy Pretty soon after that i would get a remap and geometry settings tweaked You can read about my recent mods in here which will be on a par with what you'lll be doing if you take the route above. http://forums.sidc.co.uk/forums/532067/ShowPost.aspx and here's another update :- http://forums.sidc.co.uk/forums/770827/ShowPost.aspx Enjoy ! Cal

  12. Always wanted to be a racing driver ( do the math !)..........this man being my inspiration Ended up doing BSc. in Topographic Science at Glasgow Uni but Land Surveyors pay was ( and i presume still is) radge so I am know a Hydrographic Surveyor ( or a Geomatician ) with Shell. Mega variety, loads of travel, and I basically love it. Used to work offshore before that for 4 years working all over the world. Now a desk jockey though but still diggin' it ......so you can thank me & Wuz & a few others for getting yer V-power out the ground. Currently working on a beast of a pipeline that will supply you lot with 20% of yer gas. It's 42" diameter ! Cal

  14. Macca - do you have a URL for that outfit ? Thanks CGS
  15. My last post got me thinking hence this thread, here's my info :- Do you commute via a car ? yes Do you take your Scooby ? yes How many miles do you commute to work ? 2 miles How long does it take you ? 4-5 mins, not long enough to warm her sufficiently ! Do you ever take a long way home ? yes, 3 times a week to "stretch" her legs or go via jet wash Of course so of you may be on the billy joel or work from home or get the train but let's hear yer tale ? Cheers Cal
  16. Hmmm - I thought point 3 above would be a reason to go for it but it sounds keich...... My wifes VW Polo is on PCP and seemed an alright deal. In the past i have always gone via the unsecured loan route though. As for modding, it's another issue - I know of a certain member who has gone beyond the call of duty on this one but i suppose it depends if you want to always hand it back... last year I was paying £600 a month and it's good not having that payment now. But my car is now 4 years old and despite the fact I have it the way I want it ( almost) I just feel that it's a now or never as weans are likely 18 months away. Other option is to get a sensible breif and go bonkers on the 'rex. But I would end up ditching the sensible mobile every time. Cheers cal
  17. What options are you PCP guys using ? Here's the Subaru one :- http://www.subaru.co.uk/IMGGB/WWW/Subaru_c...FF?Opendocument Is it any use ? What about these guys ? http://www.carpages.co.uk/info/subarucontracthire.asp let's hear what y'all are using My Scoob is now paid off and I am now wondering whether to mod it to death or buy a hawk-eye Thanks Cal
  18. Any more details ma' man ? Is this from a dealer, importer, car supermarket etc ? Cheers CGS
  19. This faggo1 banter has gone to far.................G-ball, I think you need to get laid big chap. I feel ill coming on this forum at the moment [+o(] [] As for the idea Stephen, I see where you are coming from ....but there's more chance of G-ball getting laid than us planting trees []
  20. BEST EXPERIENCES my first SIDC run in my new virgin buggy back in Q1 of 2005 hitting the demister whilst mapping with Andy F in 2006 smoking Matt STi at KH even though he had 100 bhp more than me ( Swiggi onboard back then) fitting any new exhaust and the sheer anticipation of turning the key over for the first time pax lap with Kev_P1 @ KH in 2004 ( siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiideways for most of it) going through the Clyde tunnel ala Convoy style with the Squirrel side exit ( then over the Campsies) following Jools and JohnS up to Aviemore this year Aviemore and the cumulative rumble of the squad Watching the Litchfield weapon at the KH Time Attack WORST EXPERIENCE insurance renewals and paying in one go in January 13th every year ( now remedied !) FUNNY EXPERIENCE gid banter with Dougster and The Squirrel at the KH Time Attack MSN chats with some of you doosh bags ! setting off car alarms at work It's been emotional ! Cal
