  2. yea that is true, I only continued to take my car to the main dealer as mine was modified so I wanted to keep them sweet as I was having a few warranty issues at the time..lol. I know when I had my RX8 it was stipulated it had to be at a VAT registered garage also for some reason
  3. Good day, and goot to meet alot of folk, and I too am burned to a crisp !!! Well done John for first in class and well done to Tam for the best in show for a shiney car! Good to meet you too Scott (Gambler) car was looking good on track and I think your right about 700 odd HP cars being a bit off for club class, they should have been in club pro IMHO. Got no pics as im no very good at taking photos. Graeme
  4. Sorry for hijacking the thread again The rib is an ex millitary Pacific 22, it was last stationed down in Gibralter and used by the MOD Police and as a pilot rib. When the makers were asked what the limiting conditions were for the rib, the replied "you are sir" The engine is a 4.2L Ford Mermaid Turbo 4 producing 200HP at 2600 rpm and 450lbs-ft of torque at about 1800 rpm, it revs to 2800 rpm and does 29kts, just over 33mph http://www.mermaid-marine.co.uk/PDF/OutofProd/TurboFour3.pdf Anyways I have decided to head up to Knockers the morra and try persuade my brother to take the boat out again on Monday. Some cracking pics there! Graeme
  5. Good to see you guys today, missed the Brucies taxies off but was interesting to see him practice his pannel beating skills with a sledge hammer....lol, but give him his due, he got back out on track and was going like stink. I did get to see the Supra locking up and ending up in the gravel trap though. Im undecided if I will be up or not tomorrow Knockhill or play with this?????? Graeme

  10. bugger, that means I will need to sit my test, my old paper licence used to have loads of categories on it but when I had to swap it for a photocard one after washing it a load of stuff dissapeared???? looks as if I am going to have to stop driving the tractor towing 3+ tonnes and I wont be able to tow my brothers RIB as it and the trailer comes in at 3.3 tonnes too. I wonder if I could sit the test using the tractor as its far easier reversing with that than a car...lol Graeme (looking for an instructor in the Paisley / Glasgow area too)
  11. Nice write up, car certanly looked as if it were running well on the day, hope im hope for Knockhill Graeme
  12. Good stuff John , look forward to watching you again at the next round (if im home) Graeme
  13. The prices have gone up a little from what was stated in the stickied post, I PM'd the details through to Andy ages ago as I cannot edit my post as it has been closed. I cant remember the new prices as the forum does not automaticaly save youe sent pm's but they should still be competative and everyones wheels that I have seen done there have come out well Graeme

  16. Good to hear your still keeping yer chin up Jim, At least there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel, its just a shame its taken soooo long as you have missed out on a few cracking cars whilst you have been waiting for your cash. Will give you a shout in a few days once we are back in UK waters All the best and hope you get sorted soon. Graeme
  17. Well most of the ship woke up to this (I didnt as I didnt get up till half 10 as im on the 12 - 4 and most of the snow had been hosed off by then ) but they did leave the bridge wings so I managed to build my snowman after all!! you can see why the snowman was so peed off as somebody wrapped a Pompy scarf round his neck!!!, oh and the fact I put his hands on round the wrong way Graeme
  18. The snow is coming down good style now, only problem is that I'm sat on a ship at anchor in Oslo Fjorden over in Norway. The "cargo" and the deck are both turning a nice shade of white, I wish I had a wee RC Scooby so I could go out and do some donuts in the morning Snowman building on the foredeck will have to do instead!!!! Hope to get some pics tomorrow (if it stays) Graeme (getting into big kid mode )
  19. Ahh, I see you took the plunge then!!! I give you about 2 months before you start modding it...lol I wont be at the meet as Im away at work till the 14th but if things work out and I get the new job I am after I should be at the May run All the best and hope you enjoy Graeme
  20. Hello G.Mac aka Graeme the car Graeme
  21. Wilky, I can just imagin you sitting at your pc saying that with the wee actions you do ....lol Ryan spec is (if I remember everything) Power stuff Meercat 3" "Snakehead" decat turbo back system GT spec 2 headers and up pipe MD321T+ Ceramic coated turbo APS Inner wing induction, onto Perrin Maf pipe then onto Lateral Performance intake elbow (not to keen on the elbow) Power Enterprise 800cc flow matched injectors Fuel Lab fuel pressure reg set to 3.5 bar Apexi AVC-R Spark plugs are NGK 7's Bosch fuel pump, cant remember which one but its not maxed out yet but 255 lph springs to mind but might be wrong Andy Forrest remap with 1/3 E85 3ml per L NF the rest either V-power or tesco99 mapped to 1.8bar Other stuff JDM Sti titanium front strut brace Whiteline anti lift kit Prodrive springs Defi BF gauges, oil press, oil temp and boost Swapped the tail lights and stop lights about in the rear clusters for a more JDM look De-Tangoed headlights Rays 57F V-Speed Alloys with 235 40 18 Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta tyres I think thats it and everything else is standard
  22. went through a big puddle and bent back a bit of the main body plastic undertray thingy, had to get the car up on a pavement with 2 wheels and kick the bent plastic bit back into the right direction again...lol nothing major Graeme
  23. 2005 white! blobeye STI 19K miles £9750 http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/c...cleRegLetter=05 Bit higher miliage but if servicing is up to date theres no problem 2006 2.5L Hawkeye STI for £9750 http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/c...cleRegLetter=55 I VOTE FOR THE WHITE ONE!!! Graeme
  24. Where in Renfrew are you, Im just up from the Hope Dairy I will take you out a wee run in mine but mine isnt standard anymore! ps I came from an RX8 230 to my STI pic whore moment!! (cant remember my other photobucket account with most of my rex pics with HKS cat back Scooby Graeme
  25. Alright there folks, thats me back after map no 6!!! Got home a couple of hours ago with a nice big grin on ma face again. Didnt do a power run but after giving Jac a wee shot he recons its about 450ish, so if that is the case I've reached my target for this stage and it certanly feels like it!, last time when I did my power run it was 417 in one direction and about 434 in the other and the car feels much stronger and faster now! Fuel remains the same at 1/3 E85 and 3ml per L of NF but boost has been turned up to 1.8 bar (due to the fitment of an AVC-R) car Is still having problems as one of my induction hoses is collapsing so boost tails off pretty quickly after about 5700rpm, Its supprising my wee Bosch 225 lph fuel pump hasnt been maxed out yet (at least I think its a 225?) Due to this I am now forced to go rotated for my next round of mods (oh dear what a shame) A very happy Graeme
