  1. my first car was my old dears astra inastate 1.6L (F595nnk i think), then came down to earth when I bought my own car, a Renault 5 1.1 Prima s**** box) H69XSR) rolled it when the drivers tyre blew out going round a corner. When Police turned up and saw the car they thought the driver was dead but alas I was standing at the side of the road with only a couple of shards of glass stuck in the top of my head from when I took my seatbelt off and fell onto the roof. thank goodness the car behind me was full of over 80's who informed the police that I wasnt speeding!!!! Graeme
  2. Ahh, the G-Unit returns, welcome back Chris Cant realy add much to what has been said before re Greers and Progrip / Hypertech etc etc Good to see you back on the forum, dont be a stranger and keep posting (forum needs lightening up anyway!!!! ) I for one couldnt give a hoot that you are driving an Evo or an Uno, just remember to get yer erse down to the Glasgow runs, Knockhill etc etc as im sure you already know you will always be made welcome (even in an evo...lol) also looking forward to the return of Winston...rofl All the best and hope everything goes to plan re mods etc etc. (evo fq320 not bad for someone that only passed their test 3 yrs ago! ) Graeme

  5. Gave mark at Lateral a wee buzz and ended up ordering this, a 260mm long cone with 80mm trumpet, all to squeeze into the inner wing. canny wait to get this bad boy fitted along with the ceramic coated twisted setup for the turbo, stroll on August!!!, and yes, thats a 500ml can of Heineken! Graeme
  6. Unfortunately not, PM'd the guy on the Friday saying that Stuart would be happy to offer him the full asking price upon inspection on the Wed as he couldnt get cash before then, was told somebody was having a look on the Saturday, Got a PM on the Sunday evening saying it didnt sell and he would call one of us on the Monday. Got a call on the Monday to say car was still for sale but somebody had a look that day but was away to look at another car on the Tuesday. I called wee Stu to inform him of this and asked if he would be willing to send down a non refundable deposit of £250 to which wee Stu agreed as he realy wanted the car. Called the guy back up with the offer of the deposit (after a chat on the cars condition) and told him we would be down on Wed and give him the full asking price. After a bit of humming and hawing he turned the offer of the deposit down because he was worried 1 he would loose the sale with the other guy and 2 didnt want us coming all the way down to look at it and if we didt take it trying to get the other guy to take it again. If it were me, I think someone traveling near 300 miles on a bloomin motorbike (as my car is off the road, my parents were away with their car and wee Stu's parents needing thiers for work) would be pretty serious about the car, I even told him that Stuart had his heart set on the car and had already bought STI rear lights, Crystal sidelights, Crystal side repeaters and an STI 5 topmount for the car but still he wouldnt change his mind. 11 AM Tuesday morning he phoned me with the dreaded phonecall saying it was sold. Several hours of hunting to try find another car in numbnuts price range came up a blank. Wee Stu that peed off ended up just buying a 04 plate MG ZR 1.4 to tide him over till next year where he hopes to have a higher budget, 1 yrs NCB and his IN10 off his record Graeme

If I can get this installed I will be there to run on track, if not I will be there to help out on the day but in stealth mode with the standard exhaust back on ....if I can remember how to get there that is Graeme

  19. Interesting...... Just had a look on the Calmac website and a return for car and driver is £87.20 might be good if we could get a few cars over from the mainland and make a weekend of it as Stornoway can be a good night out. and a good curry at the Rabba Only problem I can see is taking a decent quantity of spare fuel over in the car, Calmac might get a bit twitchy about that seeing as we are all at it here are a couple of old vids of mine Graeme
  20. just in the door and I left my garage keys down in Rothesay so cant get in to see what wheels I had in the garage as I cant remember. I had the other wheels stored out of sight outside, or so I thought. Over a year sitting in the same spot and not a problem, even when I have gone out and left the gates open. from what it looks like they climbed up on top of the next dooe neighbours gate and on to her gatepost to get over the hedge. It looks as if they moved the dirty oil drum to use as a step up to get back over the hedge, either that or they figured out how to open my back gate without a handle. I even missed the offey so canney even have a drink!!!! tyre was a goosed eagle f1 I think, either that or a goosed RE070 but pretty sure it was the F1
  21. Alright there folks Sometime between the hrs of 0645 and 1315 today some theiving little **** decided that he wanted my spare wheels, luckly I think my uncle interupted them and they only got away with 1 wheel (at least I think it was one, will need to check in the morning). He walked up through my garden and noticed one of my wheels sitting on top of the hedge but nobody in sight. The only wheel that I am sure that I am missing is one I damaged trying to get it off when the locking wheelnut rounded off on me. I shall be going round the scrap yards in the morning instructing them not to pay anyone trying to get scrap money for a damaged 2005 sti wheel as it is stolen and to contact the police and myself. Not a happy chappy Graeme
  22. good write up and thanks for posting. my rears are not as fecked as yours but are getting there (looks as if there is not enough brake bias to the rear as the pads dont seem to be doing much esp on the outer edges) Graeme
