Andy (my brother) and I were out in the Rib today, Launched at Renfrew Ferry then I took the boat up to Braehead to the pontoons to wait for him as he was taking the trailer up the raod. Anyways Andy returns, starts the boat and we get halfway between braehead and Renfrew and we hear this screaming noise like a belt slipping accompanied with smoke pishing out the engine cover.....turns out the starter motor for reasons best known to itself re engaged and burnt it self out...Arrgghhhh Got the boat alongside and had to wait for 5 hrs for the tide to be right for recovering the rib, using a 4hp outdoor motor!!!!. Anyways back on topic, totaly fried and red as a freshly boiled lobster and now getting stuck into my 10th can of Magners Graeme

Yea I forgot about the plugs. Heres a no bad wee post on the ported v's GT spec 2 headers ideas "Andy.F Subaru Tuning Specialist Trader Score: (0) Join Date: Jun 2002 Location: Worlds fastest Impreza 210.2mph 8.87@164 1/4mile. 2009 Scoobysprint road class championship winners. Posts: 6,444 This is my Scooby. To set up your own Scooby, go to your user cp, and click 'Edit Settings'. Default Ricky, if you are looking for the best torque and BHP from your car then forget about ported headers, you will not make the same bhp although torque may be similar. Here is a link to a car of exactly the same age and model as yours, running GT spec 2 headers. I've never seen VF35's do anywhere near this on cast headers. A lot of the ported header promotion on here lately has been of suspicious origin http://bbs.scoobynet.com/private-sal...i-type-uk.html Andy.F is offline Report Post Reply With Quote Multi-Quote This Message" taken from this thread http://bbs.scoobynet.com/general-technical...ii-headers.html (was funny as this was the first result when I googled GT spec 2 headers when I was looking for a price to put in my reply) Graeme ps when I was running 370 bhp I was actually using the same if not slightly less fuel than on the standard Subaru map

I know when I got mine the PPP was 2K, didnt bother and within 6 months had it maped by Andy. Meercat full decat exhaust 550 G spec 2 headers 500ish Bosch 255 lph fuel pump 180 (that was fitted price and pump still going strong 5 yrs later and was still flowing enough when the car was running 450 bhp) AFP remap 550 + Vat = 646 So for 1876 you would have much better power, torque, reponce and fuel economy that PPP,

Im toying with either the GT35 Hybrid with the billet wheel or the GT35/42 and asking Blouch turbos if they are able to offer a billet wheel for that. Or if someone else comes up with a realy good idea for a turbo choice I may well go for that But items I may well have for sale sortly will be the Modified up pipe, downpipe arrangement (for twisted set up) the MD321T+, Air filter pipework with the 3 inch alloy trumpet, Top mount intercooler Y piece that has been modified to run with the twisted set up and allow the used of the STI topmount and a set of Lateral Performance flow matched 800cc injectors Up pipe and downpipe are ceramic coated appart from the small sections that were modified to make them fit my car (up pipe fits to the GT spec 2 headers) the turbo has ceramic coated hotside that you can actually touch after it has been running! and the custom intake pipework does have a maf housing in it too A wee pic of the sump I am getting Graeme

Yea I know how you feel, I once spent over £300 in a weekend in fuel when V power was still about 85p per liter(what a weekend!!!! ) and am now in the process of making it even less efficient I now have a diesel DisAstra Van as my daily runner though Graeme

Aye Strike, they are indeed a Godspeed kit, comes with the 335mm discs, bells, CP7040 callipers which allow you to use the 355mm discs, mounting kit and Ferodo DS2500 pads Craig, re the photobucket thing, I have tried using the edit function for both save new picture and overwrite old picture functions, each time itcomes up with "page not found" and punts me back to their advertising page (photo views the correct way round on my desktop) Engine is built along with the heads, just ordered the sump today and still thinking about my turbo choice before its all shipped back over to me Graeme
-
But not bloomin Photobucket which is rotating my photos 90 degrees and not letting me rotate it back Hopefully these should do the trick and help slow me down once I get an engine back into the car Graeme
-
that would have been expensive^^^ but much better than green IMHO Graeme

I used https://www.transglobal.org.uk/Default.asp to send stuff over to the States. I had a problem with my printer so couldnt get the stuff printed off during booking, phoned their customer service to which I received EXCELLENT service. They were also the cheapest by far!!!! I told them that I would just drop the parcle off at DHL in Linwood as I couldent get the docs printed before the driver would turn up (if you book before 3 pm I think you can get same day pick up) My items came to 15.5 KG and cost me £44.45 to send Monday, March 08, 2010 Shipment picked up 17:40 Glasgow - UK Wednesday, March 10, 2010 Delivered - Signed for by : CARRICO 16:32 Bridgeton, MO - USA Graeme

I think I would be getting Duncan to talk to Graham at Whitleline as they are offering a cracking set of coilovers, Jac has them fitted to his along with Jim in his old bugeye and Higgy, only heard good things about them. Sorry I cant remember the name of them Graeme
-
Not good!!! Hope you get it sorted quickly Thing is, once the car is out of warranty will they keep replacing the wheels every 8 months or so....I dont think so

Back in the day when I used to use petrol before switching to vegetable oil I used to run mine on Tescos 99, always felt smoother that V-Power and a few p cheaper too!! Graeme
