  1. John...I am no fan of stickers so I just won't comment on them other than to say that as a self confessed track tart, wouldn't the money be better spent on either the car or yourself (track lessons)?
  2. Still rewiring my Mex. Will be running this weekend but not ready for Kames yet.
  3. Well until the earths magnetic field flips again (see palaeomagnetism John or until cartographers start putting anything other than North at the top of the map the track vinyl is fine. Colzo..Are you one of these people that has to turn a map upside down when heading south?
  4. Well met Greegsy! When I saw your car I just had to park next to it. Sometimes I am a whole lot less mature than my age would infer It is going in for its first service tomorrow.
  5. OK as Grant the bloodhound has said, I have dragged his out as far as it will go. Grant is also correct in that it is a GB270. It isn't the one as suggested earlier in the thread but a full leather one. I have been having a few back problems lately and the seats in a scoob don't help. It has done 1300 miles now and it is a responsive torquey ride. I would certainly recommend it to anyone. It is easily fast enough for any road driving. However i haven't as yet felt the lsds workin but I think that day will come when i am not expecting it. Mrs Z loves it and adores the burble.
  6. Some pics of the new motor for you. The nice leather interior
  7. Aird motors is in Beauly and having bought 2 cars from them I can recommend them whatever others may say.
  8. I have been spotted by some SIDC folks now. I will post up some pics when I get the chance to take some. I am stuck up in Aberdeen again doing reports so tootling around in the mothership in the Dyce environs.
  9. Andy...Do you believe everything you read? Gus..'Fraid not. I am sure that one will be well gone and probably up for sale in ebay Ireland.
  10. Finally got home but had to head up to aberdeen for the day in the new car. I have seen a couple of scoobs so has anyone spotted us? Reg ends in VVY
  11. The new one won the Jim Clark IIRC
  12. Well it is blue with silver wheels. Nice leather seats as well. mmmm
  13. Ah well as I am offshore now Mrs Z is zipping around in the Z-mobile on the highways and byways of the Kingdom. Can anyone spot her? the car is quite distinctive.
  14. st3ph3n...Do you have a whole library of wacky cars? If it was in tangerine and black I might have considered it.
  15. The truth is that it is pretty fast and that it turns heads
  16. Wee run up to Sneckie and back. Box now loosening off and that Momo knob fits the hand just nicely. Covered in insects now though.
  17. Well bit of running in to do before I can experience the 0-60 of 5.2 secs and the grip from the 18" Pzeroes. Will do a bit up the A9 tonight to Inversneckie.
  18. Well I picked it up today and its lovely. Full leather and a GOOD sound system. 50mpg and handles not bad at all.
  19. As the owner of a classic piece of 70s history I was up on Friday night to see these boys having a blast.
  20. Funny you should mention me Cal, I saw you on South Anderson Drive on Thursday about 18:30. Nice wagon! In answer to your post you will find the dis-engagement the same with the Gti. The more powerful, more heavy and more capable the car the faster you have to drive it to get the "on the edge" feel. This is why the minimalist MX5, early MR2 type cars are so popular. You just can't drive a scob fast enough on the rods to get the buzz. On the loose however.....
  21. Foresters are fine cars but not to my taste. Audis are waaay too expensive and frankly are too bland in their driving. M3 is over the budget.
  22. Just sold my Alpina a few months ago so no BMWs for me.
  23. TVRs? You are jesting? Rebuild every 30k? Where is the dog going to go? Anyway something might be appearing soon
