  1. Nope. You ain't no kind of offshore engineer with hose writing skills In fact you are giving us offshore engineers a bad name so just own up and tell us the truth for a change. actually better still, go away to a place where the mods aren't cramping your style and people DO appreciate your "special" kind of writing and thread. Now I know you would prefer this said to your face but I am halfway round the world and it would be a bit inconvenient to say the least. If you have an opinion you want to share why not do it in more pleasant way. People might actually have some respect for you then.
  2. Well I spotted another white classic with BIG spoiler in town last night. It is a pity the roads are all straight and flat for him. No hat for me getting the full tropical heat on my bonce. Offshore today so car spotting is suspended for a while.
  3. Add another Evo to the list. My ride is a Diesel Ford pickup
  4. Well it is 2 - 4 for the skylines at the moment here in downtown KB in the islamic kingdom of Brunei. 1 classic and 1 hawkeye. the skylines were 32s and a 34. Both the scoobs were modded though. 1 solitary Evo 10 for the dark side
  5. Funny that Davie we have a new one as well. My daughter brought back a wee pup from Newcastle
  6. Is this a serious post John? Is this really about the car or are there other factors at work here? You have customised your car so much that it defines you now and noone will give you anything near its real value. If you are serious (and I have some doubts about that) then you have to address why the car is making you unhappy. You say you aren't happy on the track with it. Why is that? Maybe you need to improve your own performance rather than the cars'. I do agree about using a modified car on public roads though. My road cars have all been standard. If you want to compete you need a competition car.
  7. Lovely Gus. If only livi could keep an owner for that long.
  8. VIVA, VIVA, MONTANA NYMPH CATS WHISKERS
  9. Primary schools are fine in Cove but where do the secondary school kids go? Kincorth!
  10. Was up at the Scottisholdskoolescorts night at KH last night and bumped into a few Jim Clark 2009 vets. Ian Forgan- smashed axle on SS6 in his gold Mk2 escort. Ross Fernie - Huge roll on SS1 in his escort Cossy. Also the Rintouls stooped Ayton when their Evo locked its transmission on a narrow bit of the stage. Not a good year for the GMSC boys. GMSC website with Jim Clark reports
  11. Just to confirm this mate; You are saying that it looks like we have a 4-door cage and that is why it isn't fitting?
  12. No, only Laffertys' It seems strange to think of you fishing way out west for Tay system fish. It is a big system! I usually fish on the Earn or Angus Isla and usually with a 15' fly rod although I am partial to a bit of Devon minnow spinning now and again. Not had much success lately although not been out this year at all. Damn this feeble body of mine.
  13. Deep in darkest Lanarkshire a 2-door Type-R is defying attempts to have a Sparco weld-in cage fitted. I am informed that the cage is fouling at the top of the B-pillar by a millimetre or so. Is there any difference in the 4-door and 2-door classic shells ? (this one is a 97-98) Has anyone else fitted a Sparco weld-in cage on a classic? Your response is eagerly awaited.
  14. Salmon anglers have been advised to put the catch back until after June as there is a shortage of spring fish this year. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/south_...and/8027290.stm Welsho...No bait on the hooks as the salmon don't feed in fresh water. A flashy lure of sorts is used.
  15. I like Strachan. I remember him as a Dee player first of all and then of course he was at Aberdeen when I was a student. Fantastic player and a great wit. Way too intellectual for Scottish football mind!
  16. I do a bit of salmon fishing myself. Where are you off to?
  17. Never meant that you were anything else than deserved winners. You are the champions. Well done. No conspiracy theories mate. I thought it was the other lot that are supposed to be paranoid. No idea about the Loovens thing as I didn't watch that game although the Scott Macdonald attack on Wilkie was pretty bad. However they pale into insignificance compared to that shamed cheat Lafferty. He should be serving a ban straight away for such blatant cheating as opposed to scoring in a championship winning game. No conspiracy, just crap SPL system. I had no interest in who won the league BTW all I wanted was for United to qualify for the Europa league.
  18. We were crap today but it really sticks in my craw that the first goal was scored by that cheating scumbag Lafferty. There is really something wrong with the system when a blatant cheat has prospered.
  19. St3ph3n. It turns out it was b******s after all! link
  20. By all accounts the Tannadice shop is sold out of home socks. Go figure. Big day tomorrow. let's hope the refs don't have too big a role to play.
  21. What do you know about the Scottish game Welsho? Do you watch the other teams play at all? I have really enjoyed this season (up to getting stuffed by Hearts of course) I have seen my team play in some great games. (The epic cup game with Celtic, the draws with Rangers etc) I have also seen them rank rotten as well but the thing is my team is full of youngsters and they improve. At which point they get seduced by the big wages and long benches of Parkhead. I have seen some stunning goals ( Nish's against UTD is my GOTS ) and the development of some great players to be, Gomis, Scotty Robertson, McCarthy, Davis, Dorman for starters. Just because the OF can't be guaranteed wins every week doesn't mean the Scottish game is crap. It just means that the "other teams" have closed the gap despite the money differential. More power to them.
  22. "In the words of Doctor Samuel Johnson "In this part of the work, where caprice has long wantoned without controul, and vanity fought praife by petty reformation, I have endeavoured to proceed with a fcholar's reverence for antiquity, and a grammarian's regard to the genius of our tongue." Blimey Caprice is a lot older than I thought! What is she doing now then? Surely Dr Johnson ought to have known to capitalise a proper noun.
  23. mmmm very funny! The crowds are segregated for good reasons and after last years experience with muppets popping up in the home crowd wearing Celtic shirts Tannadice is doing its best to keep the (legally enforced) segregation. I have heard of trouble outside of the United shop after people being turned away for tickets. Please don't get me wrong I don't dislike Rangers or indeed Celtic supporters per se. I abhor the glory-hunting minority who turn up at big events to satisfy their glory-hunting urges or failing that their sociopathic rampages. Come Sunday I want United to get that Europa cup place and celebrate the centenary party that is going to happen afterwards in a happy peaceful enviroment. Nothing else is of any importance to us football-wise! OMG I have started ranting already.
  24. Jeez Neil. It took me until my 40s before I became a proper "grumpy old man" but you seem to be on an accelerated program. I agree entirely actually. Funny, actually I was thinking of doing a series of my personal rants today actually. Working on one on advertising at the moment.
  25. Does that 6R4 have a pukka mpi V64 engine? THe typethat have been nanned in rallying for 10 years? Sweeet
