Certainly a legend! A man with as big a personality as he had a reputation. I spoke to him several times. I think I had a conversation with him on the Scottish rally in the days when it went through Perthshire. A very warm and funny man with a fantasticly vicious sense of humour. The last time was 10 years ago when I phoned him to get tuition but it was just a bit too expensive for me. I really regret not spending 2 days with him shouting at me to go faster. As with all the rally legends , his exploits are there for everyone to see on the classic videos and DVDs. he was the master of the Chevette and the original Mitsibushi Lancer.

Forget the Toccos. my wife had 3 replacements and eventually ended up with a Jet. I got a Sony 903 and it is perfect for my needs and a lot cheaper than anything equivalent.
