  1. Just going out the door!
  2. Blow out preventers chaps. They are the big rubber bag and seals that hold back the pressure in the event of a oil/gas/water kick. WUZ must be on a semi-submersible where the BOPs are set on the sea bed and in the event of big waves where the mechanical slip joint can't cope with the heave they disconnect the pipe from the BOPs and wait the storm out. the fun bit is connecting back up again.
  3. Bummer for you Coulster. Next time m8 To be honest I don't see much point in a list as things can change by the hour. (at least my life can) So all are welcome and I will see you tomorrow night.
  4. Wasn't planning on eating. I am not sure what food the place will do. Got home safely hooray!
  5. Aye. Students did own the city back in 1984! Left Aberdeen a couple of years ago after I couldn't cope with the traffic any longer. Much happier in rural Fife these days. Had some great times in Aberdeen over the 20 years that i lived there but I am well shot of the place now.
  6. Now I don't want someone posting on Friday that "there are never any meets in Fife?" or "When is someone going to do something in Fife?" The meeting is this Thursday folks!
  7. This week folks.
  8. Goodyear F1s are the best all round tyre peeps.
  9. Will be good to see you Harry. Are you jumping up and down ladders again? BTTT for all the hungover Fifers
  10. All welcome Ruby. Fastscooby...I love Escorts as long as they have a propshaft!not so keen on dump valves though.
  11. Just a reminder for all my neebs! Next Thursday at the Snooty Fox at 19:30. I will be back from offshore so I can admire Higgy's Florida tan. Should have some info about Crail on the 5th Nov Other general bulls*** Non-Fifers are welcome. (No really) See you there
  12. Forgot to say "Well done Gumball for the effort" It is not easy to herd cats!
  13. Oh come on folks we got AWD. As someone who lived in strathdon for 2 years I can tell you 1. It is unlikely that there will be much snow in November 2. The map at the beginning has Strathdon marked with the circle and not the Lecht Hope to be there but won't know until a few days beforehand I am afraid.
  14. On a light car like the Pug you would probably start around 30-32psi on the front and 26-28 on the back. The key is to get the slick at the right temperature right across the tread. So things like camber affect this. Ambient temperature is critical and obviously when it is cold and wet you will have to reduce the pressure to get more heat in the tyres. with KH the big issue is the hairpin and i think some guys put more into the right hand than the left hand just to compensate for the extra heat created by the hairpin. Corsa should have some info on rally tyres which should be helpful
  15. Hi Harry. You gonna make the meet on the 27th?
  16. I wonder if it works on old Fordies!
  17. Johnny...you missed a great day at Berwick and Richie managed to drive off the track at the finish. 3 rolls made it quite spectacular. Hoping to be up and down the A1 next year a bit more often. Daz..pick a field and we will see who is fastest.
  18. Johnny...I take it you were talking about scoobylav Ian. As for Stevie..Well the Astra has a fair few more dents from the Berwick autocross and they had a massive problem with driveshafts but Stevie still managed to beat me but I did beat Richy. my 205 is still limping on with a knackered engine but i should have a new one for next year and we will then see who has the best 205
  19. If you had done a search for FIFE you would have seen our previous posts FastScooby.
  20. Howabout a semi-regular last Thursday of the month informal meet in the usual place. (Snooty Fox Glenrothes 19:30)?
