  1. Sorry to hear that, hope it goes well when sourcing a new one. Are you gonna build an engine or just throw another in?/ Johnny
  2. OI!! satan! get to the end of the queue!! Johnny
  3. No probs m8, they look really good. i take it your wheelnuts fit ok? Johnny
  4. Don't use eaglesham. They are ok for genuine parts but thats about it. The guys are sound but unfortunately they couldn't diagnose a knackered maf on my car which, if i didn't know myself something was wrong would have eventually killed my engine. It wasn't even hard to spot, massive stutter when coming on boost. As Playsatan says Hypertech seem to get a good name. Have you thought about cutting your losses with it and buying another? It may work out cheaper if you can find a decent classic. ( i might know of one aswell... ) Johnny
  5. Jesus you boys have spent a lot of wonga in the quest for POWER!!! Johnny
  6. Good guess
  7. Try approx a year and a half. Battery back on and no probs. Oh, this wasn't my car. Johnny
  8. Best car: got to be my95 sti2, had it over 6 years and it's never missed a beat at times it should have wrecked itself but it didn't, it just keeps on going. Memories: 1992 Cavvy gsi 4x4, had loads of probs with it but i still liked it. Worst car: prob S2 rst, it looked good but at the age of 29 it made me feel old and let me down most, ended up selling it to an 18 year old because it had a dump valve...lol. Johnny
  9. Fukin hell!! I hope they find the buggers and make em drink the paint stripper. Johnny
  10. They can kill maf's if not looked after. Before i went ind. kit i used the sti filter which was supposed to be very good. Johnny
  11. If it's not the valve it could be overboosting, what boost are you hitting? Also check the maf is ok. As for the knocklink, is the 1st green light on? Get it sorted and enjoy. Johnny
  12. Happy New Year All!! Awerabestfur2010!!! Johnny
  13. Either.... 1: 2.0ltr cdb built with forged internals bigger turbo ecu front mount -6 prarallel fuel system uprated box bigger brakes uprated suspension poly bushes paintwork inc. under arches and engine bay maybe change front end refurb wheels most likely some other stuff aswell, or... 2: A new car.. and Colin, don't worry too much about keeping your garage free as most of it i'll do in my garage so you'll have to head over here...lol.
  14. As colin says you should have anti freeze in your car all year round as it also has additives to stop alloy corrosion in it. i once had a bike that the previous owner ran just on water and it knackered the alloy rad. Johnny
  15. Gutted for you Cal.. Been pondering over mine for months now so i know how you feel. Funnily enough i always find excuses not to sell mine..... So far, Johnny
  16. Great figures chris, you must be chuffed, Steve certainly knows how to build em will be good to see it run in 2010. johnny
  17. Have you seen the autobahn cooler? If so i have a hybrid sitting in my garage that you could have a look at to compare. The hybrid is a nice bit of kit. Your more than welcome to pop over and have a gander. Johnny
  18. Funny that i fancied a classic 911 as well. Unfortunately the one i want is not in budget so no good. Johnny
  19. How did you adjust the pedal? Do you mean bled the clutch? Did you torque the pressure plate bolts? Also did you run the clutch in? Just a couple of suggestions for ya. Johnny
  20. Colin's car should pull a ten now. Once we sort the antilag and launch control i think it'll be there. Only 2 tenths to find. Not bad for a road car with full trim and sounds.. And a fat driver... Johnny
  21. Depends if he needs it fitted or not. A full set up should be around £2500 for 6spd, diff and shafts etc. plus fitting if he can't do it himself. If he's running around 380 though his own box should cope if he's sensible and doesn't do too many hard launches. It's all down to what and how he'll use it. Coulty runs a V5 box with around 400 and it's been ok for 2 years. When Playsatan was at the 410 mark he had the standard type r set up which coped fine. Johnny
  22. I personally found the redstuff pads to be pretty crap. Not the best feel and lasted 5 mions. The yellow stuff on the other hand were sooo much better. I would not put redstuff in an sti again. Johnny
  23. But only if you take the old one off first... Johnny
  24. Just split the box and its ready. I used phone wire to extend mine up to the a pillar pod. Johnny
  25. Lol.. Not any more... Colin does as he's told. Johnny Although i do prefer my own wheels. Certainly on my silver car anyway.
