  3. Colins car will be running at least 100 brake horse powers when finished..... Johnny
  4. I was up yesterday with the kids, had a great time, it was my first time and won't be the last. I was quite dissapointed with the scoobs though, the red one seemed quite slow.... Johnny
  5. I've been running 40 profile for years now with no issues. Johnny.
  6. You think it looks bad in the pics it looks waaay worse in the flesh, the pics don't show the dried in t-cut splashes. Anyway we get rain to keep em clean. Johnny.
  7. lol.. thats me, i know some people like them but i also know loads who hate them, myself and coulty to name 2. John F. experienced similar problems and seems to think it may be the tyres moving on the rim, so it may differ depending on the wheels you use. It certainly upset my car especially on initial turn in which is very vague and the car feels like it's foating. Johnny
  8. Got T1r's myself and they are crap, really upset the handling but after talking to a few chassis tuners i've got a good compromise (ended up with an extra 4psi in each tyre) but wouldn't buy them again. R888's maybe next time. Johnny
  9. What he says or if it's stuttering could be coilpacks. johnny
  10. My glass ones pop out at speed never mind poly ones. (although obviously not as much) Johnny.
  11. Well done that man, keep up the good work!! Johnny
  12. For 280bhp a standard clutch is fine, (unless you give it loads of abuse). If it was me, not looking for more than that, then i would get a slightly uprated one e.g. an exedy organic. Shouldn't be much expensive than a standard one. Johnny
  13. yeah, it's very difficult to do but iirc, fully locked till off the line then fully opened as once your moving. there are devices to do this for you but i s'pose you'd need to be pretty serious to go down that route. Grant, colin launches the same way as you, fully open. Johnny
  14. Welcome to the madhouse m8. just up the road from you,i can also be seen in carluke but usually at nursery or the station inn. Johnny
  15. Too true, take it easy till you get used to the diffs, ask playsatan how it can bite even in a straight line, he's still got the teethmarks on his erse.. Johnny
  16. Fully forward for launching hard only fully open for wet roundabouts.. Johnny
  17. Congrats man, to you and your (i'm sure exhausted) wife. now go buy a tv. Johnny
  18. Also clean up the hub face before fitting the new discs and jobs a good un. Johnny
  19. As Pete says don't worry about it, i certainly didn't mean you were making it up, i just thought maybe you picked em up wrong or they were pulling you leg as they can be very sarcastic. B4z, good luck m8, as i said earlier fitting a fcd is really easy so they won't have a prob. Johnny
  20. Not tried the discs but i certainly liked the yellowstuff pads, worked well on track and good on the road too. Although they were too aggressive for my oe discs and they ended up with cracks all over them. I had redstuff pads before them and although they were ok on the road they were crap on track and only lasted 4 months Johnny.
  21. Can't see the rollers thing happening as they have a 4wd roller, have had for years. Still wouldn't let them near my scoob, again. Johnny
  22. It didn't do well in this months Jap performance mag either, the civic type r was quicker round the track they use and thats down 70 bhp and front wheel drive. Pushing around 1500kgs doesn't help. 4hero, had my classic for nearly 5 years and been totally reliable, 1 big expense at the start but that was due to me using the wrong garage for the work. Johnny
  23. You speak to Alan then? lol Johnny
  24. Still £900 to much...lol Johnny
  25. I've been running around with my clutch slipping for a few months now. That's more to do with me not having the time to fit another at the mo and not really bothered if it gives up completely (although it prob won't). As euan says the exedy clutch is ok, also i've had a borg and beck in mine for over 4 years now, withstood crail, and knockhill, only started slipping due to me hitting 1.5bar boost a few times. Johnny. In saying that i'll prob go for the exedy next.
