  1. Hi, you will love the car
  2. No prob, nice to get a good result! Helps keep the forum that bit busier as well with useful stuff.
  3. Hi, There's a post 9 March 2010 in the technical section, suggests re soldering pin 501 on the circuit board on the back of the clock. I have also read something, a good little article/ posting in the past on the web but can't remember where, with pics showing how to remove the clock and pics of resoldering dodgy connections on the back of the clock, remember it was a half hour job maximum. Will try to find the link sometime ( but don't hold your breath for it). Hope this helps , if your handy with a soldering iron I am sure you will sort it. Cheers
  4. Hi Ben, welcome along. Sure various regional organisers will shout up with their meets. Where are you based?
  5. If you have somewhere to keep it then do, if it's a good one you will never get another like it, and you will regret selling it on, one day.
  6. Good spot, heard about this recall (but not Subaru related at the time) ages ago but the scope of affected vehicles is still creeping. Apparently 34 million U.S. Cars And 7 million elsewhere now affected. Time to call dealers.
  7. As promised, for those that like messing about in boats,
  8. Was looking to come up to it but am off to India instead with work for a week, so let us know all about it and maybe get up next year if it becomes an annual thing.
  9. Good to hear you're still around Mark. That car will still be a good one in years to come then.
  10. Good observation! Not sure where everyone's gone. Watch out mind, or you might get to be "top poster" of the day from a new post, when it's like this.
  11. For what it's worth since you're asking about preventive maintainence, here's a couple of obvious things for any Subaru: Clean up sump and waxoyl before it rusts through in a few years Same with frame panel running across the front of the car under the radiator - see recent posts on forum
  12. Now that combination is REALLY nice, and will earn some respect out on the road. Once my bar is on and I have the zodiac and trailer hooked up in a couple of months I will put up a pic .
  13. Welcome Lucas, must say the dark wheels set it off nice.
  14. Looking good, worthwhile job in progress there.
  15. Welcome back, Bit quiet this forum now, but a few pics of your cars would be good.
  16. Welcome along, don't wait too long to update with pictures
  17. Good pics. Myself, after looking for ages for a bargain towbar, have managed to get the same but used model Witter towbar for my GX impreza off gumtree locally for £40 just last week, Now sanded, sealed and glossed and waiting for a warmer day to fit. Also got a multi plug via mail for about £13 in total ( details found via S net) to crimp onto the towbar cables, that will fit straight into the factory fitted plug in the boot. next to the rear light cluster. Gives an option instead of always using the forester to tow. Roll on summertime.
  18. Good prompt, Looks interesting and attendance is a possibility
  19. Only Preventative maintenance type improvements over the hols: Stainless scoobyworx brake Pistons to fit, and new aux. belts and belt tensioner bearing. Happy Xmas to all scoobs and owners
  20. Looks neat and mean, keep the pics coming as it develops
