  1. haha class! Wonder who would win a drag race between that Super-Lupo and this shed I saw ootside Halfords at Torry last week? Not satisfied with lettin you know it's a Skoda - backs it up with the big "Octavia" on the back window!
  2. Good timing if not a weird coincidence! I was actually on your site last night cause I've got a chip on my bonnet that's started to rust. I can't find colour for 2008 Hatch STi "Dark Grey Metallic" on your site though?
  3. Gutted I missed this! Don't ask!!! Looks like lots of fun was had
  4. Went to Autoecosse - thanks for recommendations. Didn't feel ripped off and friendly service! Said I'd been recommended from a forum and Graeme (I think his name was) said - "who was the recommendation from? Craig?" haha, so maybe ye'll get a freebie or something lol
  5. Well chuffed with this! Fitted Typhoon yesterday and got remapped by Andy F today. What a noise it makes - pssssshhhhhhtttt!!!! The laptop said I had one run of 342 and one run of 345 bhp so pretty happy with that!
  6. I say SELL! PM me if ye decide to go that way
  7. No backbox? Yer right, that's definitely not standard. I just thought the tailpipes looked standard.
  8. Welcome - MY08 has a red fog light, nae smoked - so think modded, but I never knew ye even got 07 hatheeeez?! Exhaust looks standard, though - sorry to disappoint. Anyhoo - MON EH HATCHEEEEZZZZ - HUD AT YE BAMZ!!!!!
  9. New vid oot today! Even with 1080HD... ...sorry, cannae give a review cos it's been half an hour and it's still nae downloaded half way on my machine!
  10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNnLNf0OZrE Car looks sweet too!
  11. I've got a Kenwood LCD double din unit with Garmin Sat Nav. By using an SD card into yer computer and subscribing to "PocketGPSworld" - it will load in a database of fixed cameras and often used mobile van locations. No laser detection though.
  12. Been looking online last night for ideas and looks like i'll manage no probs. Really looking forward to hearing it! My exhaust has the PPP kit mods. The changes were a 2nd cat delete and a more freely flowing back box. Gives a nae bad burble without causing embarassment - and nae hassle at MOT time either. I've booked in to Port Seton to get my mapping done - have read good reviews, as much for the experience as the map - so thought I'd treat myself to a run back from the capital after the maps done! The filter is under the bonnet. The cold air duct just transports air to the general area of the filter, kinda blasting the filter with cold air (from the fog lamp area). The duct doesn't actually connect to the filter (I don't think).
  13. Thanks for the link! Sounds a bit too easy though - run a pipe to the fog light and hey presto! Need to wait till I get home so I can have a poke aboot to see what I can do - and hopefully my beloved doesn't end up on rat-car.com! If it all goes tits up and I canna get a cold air pipe run in time - if I get my remap just with the Typhoon in as described by the instruction sheet with no other mods - will the remap still work ok if I run a cold air pipe at a later date? Or would my decision not to run a cold air pipe be kinda permanent unless i got another remap. Sorry for all the questions!
  14. Nae bad. I'd don't have fog lights so wonder if i can do something from that route to run a cold air pipe. Don't suppose you have any pictures of your pipe routing? I've seen a few threads on iwsti and other forums with folk doing a similar job on older imprezas, to varying degrees of quality, nae many pictures though. A friend has a copy of the MY08 service manual and I can see a hole underneath the fog lamp cover that may work... but I'm nae so keen on putting a hole in my OE fog lamp cover in case I make a hash of it. I've 1 week between getting home and installing kit and going for remap so should be able to work it out in that time. Any tips much appreciated though!
  15. Some useful info here... Andy Forrest Performance Linky
  16. How did I know ye were gonna say that! Ach well, looks like I'll need to dig deep. Maybe for the best though cos am booked for a remap in July - service before that prob nae a bad thing.
  17. Ok - got my Typhoon sitting at hame ready to install and just booked a remap date with AndyF - for before Alford day Looks straightforward enough looking at the instructions - but just one thing... You remove the fresh air inlet duct and OE airbox... then install the Typhoon... but the instructions kinda stop there. Are ye meant to re-install the fresh air inlet duct again after? Or does that part become redundant? I've seen some cars with an induction kit but they also have the duct so it's got me a bit confused. Ta
  18. Looks like good votes for Autoecosse - thanks! Now for a wee bit of advice please... I work away month on month off... car hardly gets a run when i'm away - so low mileage. However, Subaru service intervals also have the time duration thing. If I was to go with miles alone (20,000k) - I think all I'm due is a periodic oil change. However, if I go by time duration - car is almost 36 months old (equivalent service mileage 30k) and will be due a big-ass service with inspections on various parts. Do ye need to go with the time intervals for the service - or is mileage good enough. I check oil regularly - and it's never dropped since I got it. Will an oil change be enough or do I need to get the full whack one? <please nae the full whack een! haha>
  19. My car's just broken through the 20k mile mark. Think that's 3,000 since I got it so gonna put her in for a service when I get hame from work. If you were me, with my 2008 Hatch... where would you take it? Lawrence of Kemnay? Autoecosse? or further afield like John R Weir or Ian Grieve to use my SIDC discount? I want to keep with subaru service stamps (prefereably approved) cos will likely trade in next year some time. Thaaaanks!
  20. L of K did my new rear bumper and diffuser on insurance and did a fair job. The parts boy seemed a bit of a space cadet though, think i knew more about available optional extras than he did, and they never actually did order or fit the stainless rear bumper cover i asked them to on top of my insurance work. Will prob put my car there for my next service, but may try autoecosse. F**ked if i'm using almost 2 tanks of petrol like the last time i did a 6am run to Ian Grieves, sport # mode and silly speed haha
  21. Interesting stuff indeed! Looking forward to seeing what's available. Will need to get hame so I can unlock my paypal, sort oot membership, and get to view True Grip. I didn't mean to sound negative - I really want the reliability of Subaru to start getting good publicity again and if Pro-R allow us to modify the cars under warranty, even better! If Pro-R come good with their package - will definitely be sticking with an STi and be kitting oot with their gear when it comes to swap cars in a year or so!
