Ah ok thanks - strange that I have had the car 7 months and not seen the light before but at least its not a problem!

ah ok thanks I've never noticed it before though and it was still flashing when I was out of the car which seemed strange. I will stop worrying then!

Morning all Quick question, when I got out of my car at work this morning I noticed a red led light in the shape of a key flashing under the tachometer on the dashboard. Any ideas on what this might be or what I have to do to fix it? Thanks Gary

lol and I have finally spotted a Scooby owned by someone from this site!!!!!!! I was heading in the opposite direction in my blue blobeye WRX, caught sight of you at the last minute going round a bend so didnt have a chance to wave as I would usually do when passing a fellow Scoob!

At around 6pm this evening. I haven't seen many in red it looked good :-)

Well it looks like my question has sparked some interesting debate and comments so thank you everyone for your feedback My decision is to keep my car as standard and save for an STI as it would give me the option for more power should i wish for this in the future.....even with the blue seats lol I don't mind the gold wheels too much although I would prefer graphite as it looks awesome against the Scooby blue.

Thanks for the comment Flaps I take your point about new parts etc for the WRX vs essentially buying an STI with used parts. My fear is I know what I'm like I will spend money modding my WRX to the 300bhp mark then decide I want more and end up buying an STI anyway to take it to the next level! Sad but true but boys will be boys lol @ Ace - I just dont have the money at the moment unfortunately mate :-(

I'm going to mate will have to start selling my vinyl again to help with the saving!

Thanks fella the car is totally standard and I will not be modding it so will carry on with what I have as it seems to be running sweetly while I save for my STI

Cheers guys you've all confirmed what I thought was the right option so I will continue saving for my upgrade to an STI @ Woodcote - I saw Aaces STI for sale on here a while ago I cant believe it hasnt sold yet!!! I dont have the money saved or I would have loved to take it!!!

well I dont drive it like its stolen but do like the occasional 'spirited' drive so will go for 5W 40 next time Cheers for the advise
