About lus7y

  1. Thanks again Tony for the meet, got to chat to a few people and saw some really nice impreza's and a stunning EVO & lotus Nice to meet you all, and I will be first to buy your car if you sell it lol
  2. Thanks again for the comments. I probably have been flashed by your hawkeye, but I was probably oblivious I'm going to have to get used to other owners waving and acknowledging me. Cheers
  3. Hi I have had my impreza MY99 for around 6 months now, and I got it for £2000. Admitadly the car had 97,000 miles on it and 7 owners lol, but I can honestly say that it feels like new (best car I have had). The only problem with the impreza is the fuel consumption, but you should not be thinking about that if you consider a scoob. I work in town so I can get roughly 80 miles from 20 litres of fuel (18-20 mpg) I did do a 400 miles trip to yorkshire and back a few months ago, that was a tank of fuel + a quarter so in all around £80 at the time. Persinally if I was looking for another impreza I would buy it of a forum member (not limited to this one) as the chances are they have looked after it, and you know the history of the user (previous posts etc) For the insurance I went with direct line, it started off around £700 (5 years no claims) but then went down to £330 when I fitted a tracker, so it may be worth getting a qoute of them. Good luck in the search for yours.
  4. Hi Just wanted to say hi to you guys & gals, I have been meaning to register with the site for the last 6 months, and finally done so. I have had my classic wagon since October last year, and it been faultless running, the best car I have owned bar none. Hopefully I can make a contribution to the forums and also get some advice from time to time. I'm based in Herefordshire so I'm hoping to come to a few meets organised in the area. I have attached a few piccies of the scoob, as you can see it has some stickers put on the car from previous owners (which aren't too imposing i hope ) The few things that I have planned are to get it rolling roaded as I havent got a clue what power it has now (it has a green panel filter and some aftermarket back box) and maybe get the power up to 270-280bhp at some point when funds & the missus allows
