  1. Thats a very good call I hadnt even thought of that!!!
  2. Some good calls so far Lancia Delta Integrale would be great as a weekend car and a Vauxhall Monaro I didnt realise you could now get one of these for £10k!!!
  3. You have 10k to spend. What would you buy and why? The following would be top of my list. I'm sure there are others but these came to mind first Mazda RX8 231 - I still love the look of them, great fun to drive and I enjoy spending money on petrol lol BMW 330 CI M Sport - Nice V6 engine, comfortable rear wheel drive sports car Audi TT 225 - Less practical than the above but 4 wheel drive, looks good and will hold its value relatively well
  4. Looking good I actually really like the colour of the WR1.....I want one!
  5. Cheers for that I am booked in for an Exedy clutch change next week
  6. I will let you know when I have spoken to them mate - got my car booked in next Wed for the clutch so will speak to them and get some further info. @ Flaps - What were the issues the the spoiler you bought?
  7. Nice motor mate looks mint! Feel free to pop round and clean mine if your ever bored
  8. Cheers fella I will take a look @ rig pig that's a good point about the side skirts I didn't think of that!
  9. The car a standard blob Eye wrx which is only used on the road ie no track days but the odd spirited drive if I am in the mood :-) I may in future do a little modding if i decide to keep it long term but that would be jsut to 265bhp so nothing to excessive
  10. Hi all As I mentioned in another post I am looking to get my clutch replaces as it is starting to fit. The quotes I have so far -Scoobyworld - Exedy clutch £550 or £650 if flywheel needs to be replaced) ....plus £50 in petrol to get there and back -DS Automotives (Aylesbury)- £720 for ADL clutch ....I use these guys for servicing etc and the have been good so far -Mr Clutch - Hemel Hempestead .....£650 ADL clutch What do people think of ADL vs Exedy clutches is one brand better than the other? Also, has anyone any experience of Mr Clutch as they are the only place above without recommendations from the forum As always thanks for any help or advice
  11. Thanks for that I will have a look. I'm still a little bit torn over what to do and in an ideal world I would save for an STI however it will take me a while to save and if I am investing in the WRX in terms of new clutch, had new disc and pads all round etc then maybe I should keep hold of it as I know the parts are new rather than save up, buy an STI which then may need a load of new parts as well. Not sure what the best thing to do is so any advice/comments welcome
  12. Good call I'm going to try to get it booked in for next weekend if I can Cheers for all the comments and advice on this everyone
  13. Hi all I was thinking of getting some styling upgrades for my 03 plate WRX turbo (in blue) and am looking for some advice on the best place to buy from and get fitted. I can see a number of places that sell the spoilers but am struggling with the side skirts and for me tbey are moe important as my current side skirts are black which bugs me a little. Does anyone have any advice on where to buy from and where I could get them fitted? Do they come colour coded or do they need spraying? I have seen both options available on some sites for the spoiler. Any advice gratefully recieved. Thanks GAry
  14. Spoke to Scoobyworld and they quoted £550 plus £99 if the flywheel needs to be skimmed (i'm sure that means more to you guys than it does to me lol) so thanks for the tip Ace as that is cheaper than I have been quoted so far
  15. Thanks fella I'm going to give them a call today for a quote
  16. Great thanks guys will have a look and shop around
  17. £700 was the original quote i was given but have not had the chance to get any other quites yet. Any idea how much it should cost?
  18. Nice looking motor mate I like the wheels!
  19. Thats true I've never tried anything like that myself before as I would be worried about missing other potential issues however I should learn I guesss. When I get the work done I may stop driving her so she doesnt get damaged and buy a push bike lol @ Cruize - I would get the missus to drive mate but don't have that luxury as she doesn't drive so we only have one car.....she just has to put up with me parking miles away from the entrance in a space that is not surrounded by other cards lol
  20. So I spent £360 on a service, brake discs, pads and a few other bits and now also need a new clutch at around £700 which I have added to my list as I need 4 new tyres so proof that Scoob ownership aint cheap however...........I wouldnt trade the car for the world None of the above annoyed me as I expect to have to invest to keep my Scoob in top condition although its not ideal all at the same time however when I got home and cleaned my car I noticed someone has scuffed it and scratched it all along the drivers side front door and wheel arch - now that wound me right up! If you cant park and scuff someones car at least have the decency to leave a note!
  21. As mentioned above I think it depends somewhat on the industry. I am not on there myself I keep meaning to sign up mainly for networking in my current job rather than looking for work but I've heard good things from colleages at work who use the site
  22. Totally agree! If I had £50k I would be looking at a second hand GT-R or 911.....sadly I don't!
  23. With £50k you could buy 5 Citroen C1s and have a different colour for every day going into work
