As the title suggests... I am using Tesco 99 RON for my WRX Turbo (Blob eye) as I can use vouchers from food shopping which reduces the cost although I have seen a few recomendations on here for V Power. Are there any significant gains to be had by switching either in performance or fuel ecconomy or am I just splitting hairs? Thanks Gary

Sounds like I need to do the same as I have the same issue although saying that I do not reverse that often so not much of a problem for me if no longer term damage is caused

I run 33 at the front and 32 at the rear which works for me :-)

Sitting in MacDonalds waiting for my Scooby to be serviced at DSA and out the window I see a blue WRX hawkeye or blob eye (I couldn't quite see!) Driving through. Also dark blue classic STI with yellow graphics Soobies everywhere!!!!!

Glad to here your enjoying driving again. Give me a plasticly interior and a great driving experience over a great interior any day of the week!!! The seats are comfortable which is the main thing especially for longer journeys.

Nightmare mate sorry to hear that you must be gutted! hopefully the guy will get caught soon enough it makes my blood boil when I hear of drink drivers causing accidents

welcome back mate I'm a newbie myself, bought my first Scooby a few weeks ago

I'm actaully booked in at DSA now after a few recommendations here and elsewhere. Looking through the service book they actually did the last service (all previous were Subaru) so made sense to go there again as its local, they know the car and had been recommended. I'll update with how I get on the service is in a couple of weeks Thanks again to all for the advice

Its funny that you posted this topic today as I was thinking of posting a similar one so its great to see someone is having a similar experience to me. I've had my Scoobie for 2 weeks now and have fallen in love with driving again! My car history is as follows 1- Saxo VTR - not much power but was my first car, cheap insurence and was actaully fun to drive 2 - Golf m4 GTI 1.8 Turbo - I loved this car and it had added grunt when remapped to 200bhp 3 - Celica mk4 T Sport - Great handling and looked fantastic however the lack of low down grunt was an issue for me. The car came to life at 6000 revs however seemed to take an age to get there 4- Impreza blobeye WRX Turbo - Nuff said absolutely love it. I wont talk about the speed as thats a given but it is easy to drive and more comfortable than I was expecting with a better interior. Ok so its no BMW inside but the driving experience is far better than the 330 i was looking at. I know I am only 2 weeks in however 100% sure I made the right decision and am already looking forward to my commute home from work tonight! ......now thats waffle!

Hi all I need to get my new Scooy 2.0WRX Blob Eye serviced (64000 miles) and would like to find a garage who specialise in Imprezas or Japanese cars. I am in Leighton Buzzard so would be looking for somewhere local ie Leighton Buzzard/Milton Keynes/Aylesbury and thought i would ask if anyone here can suggest a garage. Any help or advice would be appreciated as its my first scooby service Thanks

very nice mate!!!! I wasnt that keen on the new design when I first saw it but its really grown on me know. I've only just bought my 03 plate blob eye however this is definately on ly list for a future purchase!!

hi all As mentioned in my newbie post I've just bought my blobeye 2.0 turbo WRX. I've heard there is debate over whether to use 95 RON or 97 RON unleaded but jsut wanted to know if there are significant gains to be had by using better fuel. I dont know what has been used in the car up until now and not sure if this would make a difference. Any help would be appreciated Thanks
