  1. welcome aboard fella looking forward to seeing the pics its interesting to hear comparisons between Scoobies and a Civic Type R. I've never owned a Civic myself but a few on here have and they seem to be popular
  2. Probably could't afford to upgrade to Burger King due to the price of V-Power!!!
  3. Hi Ace glad to hear all is well.....apart from the car of course! Good review on the Astra you should send it to Vauxhall they would be proud! I won't be buying one any time soon thats shocking getting 27mpg out of a modern 1.6ltr car it just goes to show unless you switch to diesel there are not signicant savings to he had especially if you have to drive it hard to get any type of performance. A guy up the road from me sold his 28bhp Leon Cupra and bought a 1.4 Seat Ibiza Deisel which advertised 65mpg. he returned it 6 months later as it was retuning less than 50mpg due to hime having to drive it so hard to get any type of performance and by that all i mean is 80 on the motorway and overtaking etc. He ended up with a BMW118 Deisel which returns 40mpg and he loves it.
  4. Hi and welcome aboard sounds like a nice car you have there. Any pics?
  5. Yeah I've seen these mate they do look nice!
  6. Nice mate looking forward to seeing some pics when you get a chance :-)
  7. Looks awesome in that pic mate and alot lower than in the last one Part ex? Have you found a new car then?
  8. Very nice car - welcome to the club!
  9. @ Tommo - Thats an interesting point I never thought of grit/salt as an issue surely that is only a problem if you dont keep them clean though? @ Flaps - Thanks for uploading the picture I was going to ask if someone could do that they do look nice! Looks like I will need to get the car lowered a bit as well.
  10. Welcome to the club mate hopefully someone on here will be able tp point you in the right direction. I hope its.a sound car you won't regret buying a Scooby!
  11. Why would you not get the silver ones? Its difficult to tell just looking at web pictures I need to see them in the flesh really but I was thinking silver always looks good when clean :-)
  12. Cheers for the pointer Chris good find! So here are the wheels I am looking at (not particularly original I know!) but I cant decide between silver, gunmetal or polished gunmetal Linky Will definately be buying new mate!
  13. welcome to the site mate nice looking motor you have there
  14. Hi all I have an 03 Blobeye WRX in WR Blue. I am in need of 4 new tyres however my man maths has calculated that taking the opportunity to upgrade to 18" wheels by buying a wheel and tyre package would be financially better value. I would love a set of these however can not afford them so can someone suggest some good alternative brands that are cheaper but still good quality? Prodrive GC10 I am also not sure whether I want to get silver or gunmetal grey so what do you all think?? Cheers Gary
  15. Ok so I've changed my mind as I drove past a WR1 and I just love the sound of it so WR1 for me :-)
  16. is it only the 2008/09 models that have this problem then or is the issue ongoing?
  17. I will sin as well then :-) The Evo X looks better as well
  18. I love the way you describe an M Coupe as a 'little runaround' lol Its a strong engine so the high mileage shouldnt be too much of a problem
  19. As the title suggests if money was no object which model would you buy? I need my car to be a daily driver as well as for some fun at the weekends and really lik the look of a GB270. I like the aggressive front end with silver grills and also like look of the wheels/spoiler. I have never driven a 2.5L Impreza so am basing this purely on looks so if I drove it and didn't like the drive it would have to be an 05 updated STI in WR blue. Which would you choose?
  20. Can you get one for £10k now? Thats a lot of car for the money!!!
  21. You're right mate that does look better and for the sake of £40 its worth doing
  22. Cheers guys I'm really happy with the results. I got the spoiler from a breakers in Norwich from an STI that had been written off in a front impact so colour and fit matches perfectly. Got it fitted by griffin autos in Ampthill as he had been recommended and he didnt disappoint he did a great job. I'm with you on 2 out of 3 as I want to get a front splitter and blue mud flaps however need to get new tyres first so those will have to wait a while
