  1. I have been wondering about the cooling off period myself for a while and had been meaning to post a question about this. I let my engine cool down for 2-3 minutes after parking is that long enough?
  2. Sounds like a fair majority use their scoob as a daily driver which is good to see as it is a positive message regarding reliability. I have done 12k in mine so far in just under a year with no issues apart from wear and tear however if my mileage increaed any further I would look at getting a runaround for work to save on fuel bills.
  3. In the evening around 7pm Race Dynamix sticker in the rear drivers side window
  4. As the title suggests is your Scoob for daily use or a weekend toy? Mine is for daily use and as the Mrs dosnt drive its the only car we have. My ideal would be to get another car as a runaround so I can really get to work on Modding the Scoob but unfortunately can't afford it :-(
  5. I'm trying to remember what the difference in insurance was it was not as much as I was expecting. I pay monthly and it was about 7 pounds a month more so 85 quid a year which for the difference in performance is very little to pay! Bear in mind as well even though the WRX only has 30bhp more than the Celica the difference in torque (230 vs 133) makes it a completely different animal so you won't be wanting more power for a while and when you do you can get mods to take it to 280bhp relatively cheaply - remap, filter and wxhaust upgrade
  6. Hi and wlcome to the forum. I won't answer your questions as the guys have done this already but I was in your position last year selling my Celica T Sport for a Blobeye WRX. It was the best decision I could have made as there is no comparison between the 2 in terms of power and handling the Impreza is 10 times better and more practical having 4 doors! Yes my petrol costs have increased considerably however if you find a good specialist dealer servicing costs etc are not much higher than the Celica and the benefits far outweigh this. Take a couple for a drive mate and I'm sure you will be hooked!
  7. You know you have a cool car when........ Every time you give any of your friends a lift somewhere they tell people they are arriving by 'Scooby Power!!!'. Lol
  8. Will look out for you mate next time I'm up that way fella what model have you got?
  9. Blue blobeye followed me along the A4146 yesterday evening around 6ish. Either a WRX or STI I can't tell as it had a modified grille and front bumper. I was in the blue WRX Nice looking car cheers for the flash as you turned off towards MK
  10. I'm up that way relateively often so will keep an eye out!
  11. Not going this year which is ironic as its the first year I've got a car I would take up the strip!
  12. Car is looking awesome fella she really is a mint example! Loving the graphics and the tyre writing I would paint the Bridgestone wording as well
  13. Thanks for the comments so far guys...one vote for each so far! Does anyone have any photos of a WRX with these skirts on they could share?
  14. As the title suggests - which should I choose for my blobeye WRX? option 1 or... Option 2 I like both designs so have not quite made up my mind yet
  15. welcome aboard mate and good luck with the car search 5-6k would just about get you a blobeye WRX 03-04 plate with 60kish on the clock. Unfortunately you would need at least another 2-3k to get yourself into STI territory That being said i have a blobeye WRX and absolutely love it and there are a few simple mods you can do to gain more power and get you to the 270bhp mark
  16. Also keep your eye out for a blue blobeye WRX as I'm up there pretty regularly.
  17. Cheers mate will give that a go if I can find my WD40!!!
  18. Morning all So I had to stick a parking sticker in my windscreen yesterday which was quite large (20cm by about 8cm). I'm not sure if it was the heat but it won't peel off and is tearing. Does anyone have any good tips on how to remove this easily or am I going to have to spend hours picking at it?!! Thanks Gary
  19. 5-6k should get you a blobeye WRX with a few more miles on the clock (over 60k). If you find one you like make sure its had its 60k service done as that's a big one Good luck with the search
  20. Welcome aboard. Sounds like you have a similar spec to me I have an 03 WRX I've had mine for 9 months and its the best car I've ever owned by a mile! As Ace above save your pennies as you will become very friendly with your local Shell garage (make sure you join the V Power club) and no matter how much you love the car you will be lining up the mods in no time.....I don't need more power I WANT more power lol
  21. I stumbled across it while flicking I didn't even know a new series had started!
  22. The initial images I've seen of the coupe look awesome so I would have thought it should be sucessful Wouldnt mind getting one myself
  23. Pulling out of pay and display car park Frday 6pm. Nice (and loud!) Car!
