  1. but dont get too excited, i need space so i have a set of late classic uk turbo alloys, that if anyone has any use for they can have,they are the 16" six spokes in silver, they have tyres on which are needing replaced and the wheels are needing a refurb, on the plus side they are not buckled or cracked, gimme a shout if any use.
  2. my car was overboosting when the vacum pipe to boost controller dislodged and came off, now held on with cable ties
  3. with my limited knowledge all i can suggest is to check all the vacum pipes from the boost controller are intact and not leeking
  4. the type r and p1 may have had similar engines and body shell, but the type r feels different to drive due to different gearing and dccd gearbox, the suspension and chassis were set up different as well, so whilst they are blood relatives, they are definately not identical twins.

  6. i have also heard that a fauly maf, can lead to engine failure on the p1,some owners change this on a regular basis, i beleive some companys do a newage maf upgrade for the p1, and some ecu upgrades are maf less too, i agree that getting the car mapped for the fuel its running is very important
  7. they dont all blow up at this mileage, i know a good few that have done over a 100k, i have one and the engine did go at 70k but i beleive this was done to to cat removal, induction kit by previous owner and not mapped to suit,there are a few for sale and at the moment i think nearly 10k at this point is a bit expensive, but that said, the p1 is an awesome drivers car and would never sell mine.
  8. are you on p1woc buddy? if not, try asking on there as there are a good few guys on there that are fairly knowledgable.also the maf on the p1 is fairly notorius for failing too without throwing up any faults of course if you have syvecs u may be mafless

  11. there should be a pipe on the intercooler pipe to which you can add an adapter for the dump valve if you want to retain it, but on mines it is blanked off and i dont have a dump valve

  18. spotted a nice bug eye in west calder tuesday this week after 3pm and also a hawkeye on the road to kilncadzow from braidwood on the same day after 3 30 pm, and this morning around 6 15 am in asda car park newmains a silver newage not sure which kind as i was quite far from it
