  1. Hey Jeff, Marco here, welcome to the club mate. Don't let my name fool you. Some people say i love Scoobies that much that it makes me a pervert lol. Glad you have joined.
  2. Good argument but an ecu for £1000 is a bargain compared to a full engine rebuild after a big end failure! And a p1's engine is pretty special so if ur gonna replace it say with something special like a Cossie engine an empty one cost like £9600 ex vat
  3. P1's are all import type r engines are they not and Japanese standard fuel is like 103 Ron.
  4. My bro saw ur post and said his bratwurst vs ur rice rocket any day lol, I'm staying out of it as I am biased toward Subaru lol, and our policy supports mods, maybe a drag at Crail is in order, game on lol
  5. there all for our cafe business and we have corporate insurance, its dirt cheap, we even have my bro who's 20 driving an e92 m3 lol its ludacris but a COSSIE would be nice.
  6. sorry i miss understood, just buy it, smiles per mile, u only live once mate u can't take it with u, and if u buy at cheap petrol and save like £5.000 think of how much fuel that is to play with, ur diesel will cost u more monthly in payments and ur fuel bill will still be roughly the same. it would take u like 6 years to recuperate the extra cash u spent on buying the diesel car in terms of fuel (just cause of the higher initial cost).
  7. that is a good way to look at it, just making it even better once it goes but was looking at cosworth blocks, empty ones are like 9600 ex vat. u'll end up at £30.000 building a great engine from scratch.
  8. no no mate i have a gb270 and a forester 2.5xten ppp, simply adding to the collection lol
  9. Alright Chris, took ur advice mate and became a member, getting my gb270 wagon tomoz (delayed again)

  10. If ur main concern is mpg don't buy a Subaru, and don't try one either, once u try one u will be hooked for life and have to come over to the dark side, Mpg should never be asked for in the dealership, and don't buy a diesel unless u have this sign
  11. I don't know what to believe anymore I just think nobody knows cause I have been on this forum and on p1 owners club forum and there are several problems, I think the whole car is fluad, everybody is right cause their are many problems, no actual diagnoses or cure is out there
