  1. what year is your classic? or does it have the the ring on the back of the hub or is it like the p1 and around the cv joint, i have a front hub assemmbly passenger side, with the ring bolted to the hub if its any use to you

  9. sorry to hear about the bump on the p1, insurance = legalized theft, my mrs first new car ever was gtd golf specced up with a body kit and 18" alloys leather and lots more, cost best part off 22k,a year and a half later some pillock in a works van skidded a cross the road in front of her and she couldnt avoid hitting it, totally blameless and the car was written off, the first offer was 11 1/2k, after much wrangling got them up to 14k final offer, the only gtd golfs you could get for that money then were higher miles than hers and not as well specced, so dont accept their first offers and fight the feckers all the way, as a fellow p1 owner, i hope you get a favourable settlement, good luck

  12. i have racetech gauges , they have been ok so far, depo gauges are supposed to be ok as well ,
  13. the studs dont need to come out, but they may well come out if the nut is seized onto it, soak in plenty releasing fluid hopefully theyll come off ok just noticed yours isnt a classic, may be different, sorry buddy
  14. if i remember correctly there are three studs and two nuts and bolts just undo them and the pipe will come off dont forget the the support near the bend in the pipe , have fun.

  17. but dont get too excited, i need space so i have a set of late classic uk turbo alloys, that if anyone has any use for they can have,they are the 16" six spokes in silver, they have tyres on which are needing replaced and the wheels are needing a refurb, on the plus side they are not buckled or cracked, gimme a shout if any use.
